About the role
The Marketing Manager will report to the Head of Beauty and as part of the Beauty Category team will work to ensure the business delivers against the long-term brand vision, whilst delivering on the short-term commercials, you will not be afraid to challenge others and trial new initiatives to strengthen and grow our beauty business. Located in Dublin, this role also requires local Irish Beauty market knowledge to champion the local nuances across all regional activations.
Key accountabilities
Develop and execute clear and compelling marketing plans within the category, which will drive sales growth, share gains and positive brand attributes within the consumer market.
Analyse customer data and shopper insight to establish new opportunities within the market and drive category growth.
Work with the Senior Category Manager or Head of Category to define consumer targets, develop propositions and initiatives to drive business performance against these audiences.
Conduct competitor and market data analysis, including Go To Market competitor strategies, analysis of product performance claims and media strategies to develop counter strategies.
Be the local market advocate for the category, champion the value and commercial potential to internal teams and the wider Dyson business. Support the Senior Category Manager or Head of Category to ensure Direct and Indirect deliver profit and brand equity in Haircare.
Be the Lead on specific business-critical projects such as NPD launches, gifting period campaigns etc.
Translate Global campaign plans into local market plans.
Executing 360 campaign plan per stream (PR-Influence, media-digital-social, Direct, retail, instore/online, events, CRM, owner experience, reviews etc.)
Support to coordinate the different work streams needed with appropriate stakeholders (internal external)
PO creation and follow up.
On-going campaign reporting, performance analysis and KPI measurement.
In collaboration with the Sales function, maximise the sales and profitability of existing products.
Develop a strong understanding of the market’s customer opportunity.
Analyse in-life product and campaign performance with implications for growth strategies.
Continuously review and reset tactics as required.
Work with the Senior Category Manager or Head of Category on exploring new business opportunities such as channel strategies and new partner listings.
Proactively participate in Joint Business Planning to agree retail plans and communication with involvement in planning, sell-ins, and marketing initiatives
Working with the Head of Beauty and Senior Category Manager to support the development of the GTM strategy for the category amongst the Professional Community and deliver marketing strategies and NPD in this sector.
Accountable for shaping the plans and strategy for the local market business to unlock advocacy amongst the stylist community.
Translate Global NPD launch plans into local market plans, working in conjunction with Group and local teams.
Develop a deep understanding of the professional market and potential customers – what drives them, how they perceive the world.
Conduct strategic analysis for the local market professional market landscape with competitive view of target audience.
Provide constant feedback on trends, positioning, competitive activities, price tiers to better assess the impact this will have on our business.
Develop a comprehensive calendar for key initiatives and marketing plans for the year.
About you
Works well under pressure, able to deal with the fast-changing pace of the business.
Experience in Beauty category would be a great advantage
Ideally 2-3 years product or brand marketing experience in the beauty sector.
Sound knowledge of both traditional and digital media.
Strong commercial acumen to understand P&L impact.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical, able to distil data into actionable insight.
Commercial acumen to deliver against category goals.
Creative thinker
Collaborate and be a team player, have excellent relationships with a network of individuals.
Capable of managing complex and multiple projects
