About the role

This is a pivotal role in Dyson’s newest category. As Marketing Manager of Wearables for MEA you will be responsible for supporting category activities across the markets- contributing to the long-term category ambition and bringing this to life in channels and in year. Wearables is different to other Dyson categories and as such you will need to approach the role with a pioneering and entrepreneur mindset, you will be passionate about matching game changing technology with a disruptive go-to-market approach.

This is a new area of marketing for Dyson and there is a greenfield aspect to this role. A self-starter, who is curious as well as knowledgeable, about urban brands.  We want someone who is brave and audacious in their thought leadership, accelerating Dyson into leaders of the Wearables space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of the MEA plan working collaboratively with MEA Marketing, Sales and Finance teams. Translate the global strategy into a MEA local strategy.
  • Work closely with MEA core team to ensure strategy is consistent across all touchpoints.
  • Conduct relevant research to understand profile of the Dyson Wearables customers, and drivers of purchase
  • Undertake range planning work to maximise long term profitability and drive competitor analysis
  • Forecasting for strategic launches and monitor sales performance to ensure risks are mitigated
  • Work closely with the Transformation team to analyse market data and consumer insight in order to establish new opportunities across Dyson’s Wearables category
  • Where necessary, work closely with Centre of Excellence team to develop market specific campaigns, ensure comms stays on brand and delivers against objective
  • Support Commercial Team with each account

Media planning and optimisation across all marketing channels:

  • Execution of the overall strategy to reach target audience through paid, owned and earned channels
  • Audience targeting strategy to ensure we talk to the right consumer about products that are right for them
  • Work with Digital Marketing team to ensure optimisation of Digital marketing techniques including Search, Display, Retargeting and Social campaigns. Explore digital channel opportunities to increase reach and relevance of Wearables products
  • Close collaboration with Comms team to ensure we are maximising our Earned media.  Optimise Dyson campaigns with PR coverage, seeding, influencer and NPD launch events.

About you

  • Coming in to this role, you will have held a category brand management role for a market leading consumer audio business
  • You will have experience of driving audio product strategy on a local scale, and have experience working with central marketing functions
  • You will have been at the forefront of driving customer engagement and thought leadership within your recent roles
  • You'll also have a proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and deliver results through aligned business functions
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and digital media
