Marketplace eCommerce & Category Manager

About the Role:

Responsible for managing and delivering the ecommerce financial goals for strategic Dyson marketplace accounts -- developing a playbook to hit objectives and executing flawlessly-

  • Deliver and exceed the growth objectives for finished goods and parts across product categories
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Sales, and Finance to forecast and deliver sales/margin targets
  • Develop long term strategic roadmap for key marketplace accounts
  • Manage day to day trading, operations, and account relationships
  • Coordinate marketing, including promotional opportunities, pricing optimization, and content creation
  • Identify product, service, or marketplace issues, and partner with support teams to resolve
  • Build and maintain relationships with contacts at each marketplace
  • Identify & implement opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell buyers within the customer journeys
  • Perform QA on all product and offer launches online

Responsible for managing and delivering the Refurbished Products Category financial goals-

  • Lead pricing, allocation, and distribution strategy for Refurbished Products as the Category commercial owner
  • Collaborate with other Marketplace channel leads and account managers to execute effectively
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Sales, and Finance to forecast and deliver sales/margin targets
  • Liaise with the Post Sales Operations team to align production prioritization to Sales target and strategy

Develop and manage relationships and processes with internal business partners-

  • Seek out decision makers and influencers. Create positive working relationships across all levels of the business
  • Partner with internal operations and supply chain teams to ensure marketplace SLAs are met
  • Be an advocate internally for our customers and ensure that we are delivering the best possible customer experience

  • Be an active subject matter expert on all things marketplace
  • Support and mentor team members
  • Partner with other team members to support new opportunities as they arise
  • Be able to challenge self and others in accepting the norm, while working towards best practices
  • Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
  • Think outside of the box, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Identify problems and solve

About You:

  • Minimum 5-8 years as an eCommerce professional, including experience in Marketplace eCommerce and Category sales and planning
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the third-party marketplace sales required (eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Newegg) preferred  
  • Diverse experience supporting sales, operations, ecommerce, category management, and financial analysis preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for channels, retailers, and products
  • Proven negotiation and closing skills, both at the account and product sales levels
  • Good customer and cross functional interface capabilities
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills
  • P&L proficiency and ability to optimize return on investment
  • Ability to accurately forecast demand
  • Data-driven and have superb analytical skills
  • Do not accept ‘average’ or ‘ok’, only excellence is acceptable
