About the role

Master Data CI Lead will work as part of the Global Master Data Management team, supporting Dyson Business Operations and continuous improvement activities by analyzing and increasing quality of our Master Data. This role forms a critical part of success for improving data standards across multiple Master Data areas - Material, Customer, Supplier, Finance and Pricing Data – to enable data driven decision making. Person in this role should be a strong and proactive expert with a transformational mindset and strong master data management (MDM) transformation delivery record.

This role offers exciting variety of Master Data activities across a wide range of areas - Material, Customer, Supplier, Finance and Pricing data areas, including day to day Master Data reporting.

Every day will be different, and you will have the opportunity to develop your existing MDG/ SAP Master Data knowledge and experience within a supportive development framework, aligning to your ambitions and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify improvement opportunities to eliminate drivers of rework

  • Ensure a high level of Master Data integrity accordingly to data standards through data analytics

  • Use your expert knowledge to design data standards proposals

  • Provide data quality expertise

  • Define, measure and analyze data quality metrics

  • Identify data quality issues and define root cause of existing gaps

  • Understand business requirements, data usage and the impact of poor-quality data on the business operations

  • Collaborate with individuals and teams both cross-functionality and geographically, with the ability to build a strong network

  • Support the GMDM Team to ensure that Master Data processes are continually developed to meet changing business requirements

  • Improve operational efficiency and safeguard data integrity and quality

  • Contribute to the success of the team performance metrics

  • Question status quo

  • Write, maintain and publish global GMDM documentation, including training material as required

Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Master Data structures and objects in ERP systems or in a similar role, where you performed quality analytics of vendor, customer or other types of data

  • SAP S/4 HANA and SAP MDG

  • Comprehension of Data Quality frameworks

  • High proficiency with Office 365 apps (Excel, Word, Teams)

  • Excellent written and verbal communications ability (English)

  • Basic understanding of finance and procurement processes

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business-related qualification

  • Above 5 years’ experience in Master Data, preferably in multiple of following areas - Material, Supplier, Pricing, Customer, Finance, Data Quality Improvement

  • You understand how new technologies can be applied to improve accuracy and consistency of data and drive cost to serve down

  • You can interpret unstructured data into a system requirement

  • You can communicate and showcase value of quality Master Data

  • You worked in Business Services Centre environment

  • You are energetic, assertive, resilient and motivated by challenges

  • You have an inquisitive mind-set and can collaborate with individuals and teams both cross-functionality and geographically, with the ability to build a strong network

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity
