Our Digital Workplace Services team
The Digital Workplace Services Team in which this role is aligned exist to:
Deliver programmes and projects to enable our users to be able to operate effectively anywhere on any supported device in a secure & consistent manner
Deliver world class Service Desk and End User Computing Services to Dyson’s global employees (circa 15,500 users)
Deliver workspaces for the future
Ensure ITIL aligned governance and standards are adhered to across all aspects of IT globally
Drive continual improvement into the end user services space in line with Dyson’s growth
Establish and maintain strong relationships with the business, ensuring regular communication of service requirements, service improvements, risks, service changes, service outages and service issues.
About the role
Reporting to the Digital Workplace Network Architect in the UK, you will be responsible for the end to end technical delivery of Digital Workplace project and programmes to ensure that they are secure and compliant in line with Dyson’s networks standards and industry best practice. Working alongside a project manager and delivery team (or on occasion alone) you will be responsible for ensuring that the enhancement/project/programme is delivered to a high technical standard and in line with your Architect’s roadmap and high level design.
You will also be responsible for providing network governance for Digital Workplace Operational teams to ensure that they remain compliant to network standards, principles, frameworks and processes and support them in driving continual network improvement and optimisation into BAU operations.
You will be responsible for:
Providing network specialist expertise for all Digital Workplace deliveries and IT services with particular regards to new APAC Dyson spaces e.g. offices, research labs, education spaces etc.
Gathering and/or reviewing network project requirements or requirements for BAU enhancements
Creating and/or reviewing mid and low level network technical designs
Validating that network designs are fit for purpose and compliant to network standards, frameworks and policies when created by third parties.
Performing network technical implementations and onsite network support where required
Validating third party delivery partner test plan and results to ensure compliance
Performing network technical test validation of functional and non functional requirements
Managing any network site survey requirements
Validating and/or creating network implementation and regression plans where applicable
Supporting and/or performing post go live testing to ensure that the technical solution is conformant to Dyson’s network standards and designs.
Supporting the service introduction, release and change management processes to ensure that technical deliveries are well planned and executed into DWS network operations.
Identify improvement opportunities for future network deliveries
Provide input and support to your Network Architect for future roadmaps
Potential of extensive global travel to support effective network project delivery
Identify, own and manage risks and issues relating to the network related project delivery, ensuring that mitigating actions are agreed and executed.
Stay abreast of trends in your domain of expertise including management, technologies, sourcing, policies, procedures and other external changes that could have an impact on your domains technical delivery at Dyson
Build knowledge, capacity and capability within teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Proactively drive innovation, with new ideas and options made available by new technology and process.
Task management of technical delivery teams
Ensure that you and third party delivery teams are working within the bounds of Dyson’s policies and any global legislative compliance e.g. GDPR, PCI, Cyber Security standards etc
Ensure technical compliance to technical design authorities and architectural principles and roadmaps.
You must possess strong interpersonal communication skills being able to interact with key business stakeholders up to director level. You will also possess strong IT third party management skills. You must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be-able to manage technical delivery teams across the globe.
An experienced network expert with experience of providing technical leadership within a similar company of scale and complexity
Experience of designing world class networks for a variety of work spaces
Experience of large scale global network transformation to support a broader cloud first strategy
Have a strong understanding and experience of the following network technologies:
LAN, WAN (MPLS, SD-WAN), Wi-Fi, data centre LAN, SD networks, telephony, mobile telephony, unified communications, network management tools, VPN, firewalls, VoIP, SIP, ISDN and cloud connectivity methods
Multiple communications and voice equipment vendor experience (Cisco, Fortinet, Avaya)
At least 2 years Cloud provider exposure to virtual networks and devices (preferably Azure)
Collaborative in approach and able to operate independently and enjoy a high degree of autonomy.
Ability to work well under pressure, to tight timescales and priorities with a focus on cost control and security in a deadline and outcome driven environment
Experience of scoping, designing and delivering networking services across multi-site organisations on a global scale
Design and delivery of network solutions that are secure by default
Experience in the development of cross functional relationships with both internal teams and third parties.
Advanced communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and director level management, including presenting information in a concise and effective manner to management, and various departments using assorted communication methods
Strong research skills

Comfortable working outside of core working hours when necessary to complete the task in hand and support project go lives and hypercare timeline
