The Technology - Operations Project Management (OPM) Team is a team of Project Managers with expertise in Manufacturing Operations. We specialise in delivering NPI projects, for Dyson made Technologies, to our internal product lines. Our scope of function primarily includes working with Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain Teams. We work with these and other various cross-functional teams throughout the end to end project delivery life cycle, and ensure that the project is moving towards it's set objectives at each of the key milestones. We also work closely with counterpart Project Managers in RDD and together we ensure that NPI projects are delivered to our internal customers on time, cost and quality.
About The Role
Improve and standardize the existing project management methodologies, in preparation to take on the role of Operations Project Manager, leading cross-functional Manufacturing Operations teams through the end-to-end product development lifecycle of Dyson to ensure project delivery - on time, on cost and on quality
Work closely with the Senior Operations Project Manager (OPM) on a variety of tactical project management activities to deliver an on-going Technology Project by Q4 2023
Within 6 months, attain an expert level understanding of the existing Dyson Product Creation Framework (PCF) and become the single-point-of-contact for the Technology OPM team
Within 6 months, interpret the PCF within the context of on-going Technology projects and identify a set of cross-functional manufacturing operations deliverables at each milestone
Within 9 months, create from scratch a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to Project Manage the delivery of the identified deliverables, that feed into the Dyson PCF
Build strong relationships with a variety of key stakeholders both horizontally and vertically
Within a year, prepare to take on the role of an OPM on a new Technology project and be solely responsible for the end-to-end Project Management and delivery, including reporting to executive level stakeholders on progress
