About the role
We are currently looking for a Patent Searcher to join the Intellectual Property (IP) Department. This role would be based at our Malmesbury campus. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is already a patent searcher, or someone who has a technical or engineering background and is keen to step into the world of patent searching.
As a Patent Searcher you would support current and future product development by finding, retrieving, and supplying patent information to various stakeholders within the business. You will be required to carry out patent searching and patent analytics, and monitoring of competitor patenting activity.
About you
Degree, equivalent or higher in mechanical or electronics engineering, or scientific discipline such as physics or chemistry.
Experience in patent searching and/or patent analytics would be advantageous.
QPIP (Qualified Patent Information Professional) would be beneficial but not essential.
The ability to quickly learn and understand new concepts
A curious and analytical mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to assimilate technical information and translate it into patent search strategies.
