  • Our mission is to bring Dyson technology to life, to provide the imagery, films, content, experiences and service that explain our machines, their benefits and the problems they solve for our Owners. We create assets and journeys that help Owners discover, choose, purchase, learn about and solve issues they may have with our machines. 
  • Reporting into the Head of Digital Delivery, The Platform Lead is accountable for updates and maintenance for all web content across, ensuring all new product campaigns are completed one time and accurately, with ongoing updates to customer facing UX, copy, and imagery and implemention of new functionality. The Platform Lead is also responsible for the third party relationship management of Hogarth’s offshore team, in their CMS capacity. 

About the Role

  • As a manager, the Lead is responsible for an internal team of platform specialists, as well as roughly 20 external content admins. For the internal specialists this involves managing the resource across various work streams, lining up the team’s goals with the goals of the business, and providing input for the team’s career development. For the external, offshore resource, the lead is required to ensure the team have what they need to complete the work assigned to them. This can include training on the relevant CMS platforms, I.T. access requests, and continuous monitoring of the backlog of tasks before they enter sprints. 
  • As a specialist, alongside updating the front-end content the team is responsible for testing new features before they are implemented. Ensuring new features work as expected without affecting any of the current features. 
  • The responsibilities are as follows: 
  • Delivering global and multi-lingual market content, support and training on a diverse range of range of CMS platforms (AEM, Magento and Sitecore as the core three) 
  • Maintaining the operational relationship between Hogarth content admins and Dyson Platform Specialists 
  • Ensuring the third party team have everything they need to complete their tasks 
  • Line managing a team of Platform Specialists across Dyson’s multiple CMS platforms, with a future view of extending their remit to cover technologies beyond our web platforms (e.g. Dyson’s Connected App, Brightcove, Adobe Target, Zoovu and others) 
  • Senior escalation and support for all platforms 
  • Collaborate with the Enhancements team to test new functionalities on the CMS platforms 
  • as subject matter expert 
  • Collaborate with developers and testers to deliver content to support their workstreams as subject matter experts 
  • Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot issues within the CMS reported by different areas of business 
  • Collaborate with Producers, Delivery Managers, Designers, Copywriters, Commercial, and market representatives to ensure demanding standards of excellence are achieved 
  • Consultation with creative teams on platform functionality and limitations to inform design and ensure the best platform experience 
  • Provide backfill to markets and Group teams to cover temporary reductions in headcount 
  • Localising and expediting Group built content on behalf of markets 
  • Investigating, identifying and resolving technical issues raised by the business 

About you

  • Should have 2-3 years experience using CMS platforms, preferably one or more of: AEM, Hybris, Magento, Sitecore 
  • Should have 2-3 years experience line managing an effective team 
  • Experience working with and managing an offshore team is advantageous 
  • Ability to motivate, engage and inspire a team 
  • Ability to plan ahead, prioritise tasks and coordinate with the work of others 
  • Resilience and composure to guide projects and teams through arising issues, overcoming challenges to deliver high quality business outcomes 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably the Atlassian suite 
  • Team player and self-starter, strong communicator at all levels.
