The Global Estates Team provides support to all aspects of Dyson’s property portfolio, enabling the business to function in the most productive way by providing and maintaining best in class facilities

Dyson Retail, as one of the Global Estates Team’s internal clients, has established its own proposition over the last four years, opening a number of stores across the world.  The ambition is to continue to grow Dyson’s own retail presence, increasing the footprint globally in line with Dyson’s long term vision.  Global Estates is building a PMO to support this expansion; providing governance, reporting and data management for the streamlined and value driven delivery of the direct store programme.

We are looking for a natural leader to head up this newly formed team and take on the challenge of supporting Retail’s ambitious goals.


What you'll be doing - 
  • Lead and manage PMO Team
  • Optimise performance and consistency of project, programme and portfolio delivery
  • Translate project specific challenges / decisions / requests into business language for senior stakeholders
  • Oversee and report on portfolio progress to achieve agreed objectives, outcomes, key performance metrics and portfolio, programme and project management approach
  • Ensure the right people are doing the right things at the right time for the portfolio to be delivered
  • Identify portfolio and programme level trends in process, governance, cost, procurement and operating model and make recommendations to improve efficiency and / or consistency
  • Troubleshoot portfolio and programme level issues and work with stakeholders to identify and implement robust resolutions
  • Manage and mitigate portfolio risk and report as necessary
  • Capture best practice and innovation to ensure the PMO function continuously improves and can accommodate the business’ growth and strategic intiatives
  • Share knowledge and experience of PMO environment across the Dyson PMO community to introduce shared ways of working and optimise portfolio and programme management across the business
  • Identify other asset classes in the Dyson portfolio that would benefit from being managed by a centralised PMO and define, plan and embed that change
  • Provide expert insight and training to PMO users to improve knowledge, adoption and application of the PMO methodology and its framework
