About the Role
We are seeking a PMO (Project Management Office) Lead to join our team and support the implementation of our omnichannel programme. This programme is aimed at deploying an order management system and delivery management platforms to enable Dyson to become a true omnichannel retailer. The role sits within the Digital Transformation team of the Global Supply Chain and reports to the Senior Programme Manager. As the PMO Lead, you will be responsible for providing overall project management oversight, governance, and support to the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a PMO function to support the programme, providing oversight and governance to ensure consistent delivery across all workstreams
- Develop and maintain a programme governance framework, including risk management, issue management, and change control
- Develop and maintain a detailed integrated programme plan, including timelines, resource requirements, risks, and dependencies
- Work closely with the Senior Programme Manager and workstream leads to ensure effective programme management and delivery
- Lead the scrum of scrums meeting twice a week to ensure successful orchestration and delivery of all workstreams
- Facilitate meetings of the Design Authority Board in which key design and business decisions are made
- Facilitate weekly Programme Board meetings in which the programme leadership team reports to the Programme Board
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Programme Manager on the progress of the programme, highlighting any risks, issues, or dependencies that require attention
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business leads, and IT teams
- Ensure that the programme is delivered to the required quality standards, including adherence to best practices, standards, and processes
- Ensure that appropriate governance is in place for the programme, including risk management, issue management, and change control
- Develop and maintain a resource plan for the programme, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to meet programme needs
- Provide coaching and support to the workstream leads to ensure consistent programme delivery
- Develop and manage a high-performing PMO team, including hiring, coaching, and mentoring team members as required
- Ensure that the programme is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in PMO leadership, with a proven track record of delivering complex programmes on time and within budget
- Formal certification in project management is a plus
- Experience in omnichannel environments and deploying of order management systems and delivery management platforms is a plus
- Deep understanding of different project delivery methodologies, such as waterfall and agile
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior management and business leads
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and issues to a range of stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a high-performing PMO team
- Strong financial management skills, with experience in managing large budgets
- Experience in working in a global, matrixed organization
