We are looking for a Procurement Manager to manage the sourcing process - (OEM Components/Contract Pricing) Automation Equipment (P&E) to support Automation, Test and Productivity Improvement Activities for Production and New Product Development (NPD).
About the role
This role performs activities related to the sourcing of Capital Equipment and services, in support of Dyson manufacturing plan. (CAPEX)
Manage RFx process & negotiation with supplier base to drive bottom-line reduction
To coordinate sourcing projects, ensure completion to meet project/business needs
Review purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements.
Approve purchases of authorized amounts or size.
Maintain and updates purchasing orders, systems, and documentation. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts.
Work on other projects and/or assignments as needed
Drive the definition of strategic and tactical approaches within area, drives execution within assigned category
Formulate negotiation strategies with related vendors and suppliers to secure best pricing for selected equipment and services.
Initiate and drive cross-functional and process improvements and cost management activities consistent with company objectives.
Build and maintain strong internal and external networks involving coordination among various groups & stakeholders.
Partner with functional and/or cross functional leadership to influence priorities and objectives to ensure supply reliability, best total cost, on time delivery, minimum risk and best quality
Utilize leadership and negotiation skills to influence outcomes with internal stakeholders and/or external customers and suppliers.
Lead complex, strategic and business critical projects or initiatives.
Preferably Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in costing and managing high end automation or complex test automation for technically complex products.
Proficient negotiator with proven abilities in influencing people at all levels in the organization.
Strong ability to explain benefits to stakeholders, to gain acceptance of any change by giving relevant information, analyses, and making sound and confident recommendations.
