We are responsible for the purchase of manufacturing equipment, working alongside cross-functional teams to develop supplier strategies and ensure timely delivery of tools. We aim to reduce costs, manage supplier relationships, and promote sustainable practices while ensuring that our factories have sufficient capacity to meet all of Dyson's manufacturing needs.
About the role
Manage the OPEX bottom line for Dyson In house manufacturing equipment.
Perform activities related to the sourcing of equipment spares and services, including consumable/ spare parts & repairs.
Coordinate sourcing projects, ensure completion to meet project/business needs.
Drive strategy & negotiate with multiple suppliers to meet annual & long-term targets.
Manage the assigned commodity in line with agreed strategy, ensuring Dyson's and Procurement's objectives and KPI's (Quality, Cost, Delivery) are achieved and any deviations are managed with clear communication and management reviews
Conduct supplier benchmarking (through RFI's, RFQ's) to support Manufacturing and Engineering teams objectives; execute price benchmarking and develop Dyson preferred pricing and cost roadmap for high volume components in commodity
Accountabilities
Develop and execute sourcing strategies & goals to achieve budgeted saving and excel in all sourcing KPIs.
Formulate negotiation strategies with related vendors and suppliers to secure best pricing in support on Consignment/ Inventory program.
Roll out "Alternate Source" program to drive a competitive supplier landscape to lower the bottom line
Maintain and build relationship with internal stakeholder, to understand and assess their experience with suppliers, identify improvements opportunities and take corrective actions when needed.
Manage the supplier relationship through the use of management tools and KPI’s to drive contract adherence and performance.
Work with cross functional key internal stakeholders to ensure supply reliability, best total cost, on time delivery, minimum risk and best quality.
Ensure timely update of pricing in system to sure no leakage on saving.
Managing internal stakeholders & suppliers escalation situation when it arises.
Preparation of and presenting to the wider team purchasing statistics and reports as required.
About you
Experience negotiating with multiple suppliers for price book, service level, cost down road map.
Experience in planning for inventory/consignment program.
Detail-oriented and good analytical skills.
Excellent communication & presentation skills with experience in engaging with stakeholders across all levels.
