Product Cost Senior Manager

About The Role

  • Leading product cost governance for the Haircare Category to ensure projects are delivered to target cost.
  • Responsible for embedding new ways of working across the cross functional team to raise the profile and importance of product cost. Embedding a new cost conscious environment to manage product cost.
  • Working with the category team to set appropriate targets, at sub system level, for each project.
  • Managing the systematic activities, processes and systems throughout the product life cycle to deliver to target.
  • Implement product cost evaluation further upstream in the product development cycle.
  • Evaluating multiple design alternatives for lowest cost during NPI stage
  • Manage the product cost assessment throughout the product development milestone process.

About You

  • Evaluating multiple manufacturing solutions including make or buy analysis.
  • Governance of detailed ‘should cost ‘ to validate supplier quotes and ensure target cost achieved.
  • Manage the analysis of current prices of entire commodity groups to find over cost outliers
  • Evaluating multiple cost down idea on current products to identify the high potential reduction in shortest amount of time.
  • Manage and implement appropriate to tools to enable effective product cost management and cost reduction.
  • Track and manage the risk and ops with the aim to crystalize the opportunities whilst mitigating the risks
  • Responsible for the governance and change management process for the Floorcare Category.
  • Own accurate and insightful reporting to support decision making in milestones, financial health checks and ad hoc meeting
