About the role
The Programme Quality Lead – New Ventures will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of quality are integrated into every stage of the project lifecycle, from ideation to final product launch. This role requires a strong understanding of quality management principles, project management and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a robust quality management plan for New Venture projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and Dyson expectations.
Monitor and report on project quality metrics, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions as needed. Align and agree these with internal and third parties prior to work commencing.
Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential quality issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RDD, manufacturing, supply chain and operations, to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned on quality objectives and timelines.
Participate in project planning and review meetings, providing input on quality considerations and ensuring that quality objectives are met.
Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring that quality expectations are met or exceeded.
Provide training and guidance to team members on quality management principles, ensuring that best practices are followed.
About you
Ability to manage contract negotiations with third parties on areas such as: Product specifications, Inspection and testing, Documentation and records management, Non-conformance handling, Corrective and preventive actions, Product recalls and Compliance with regulations.
Has an understanding of GMP and manufacturing ISO standards.
Identify and manage Safety risks and produce summary documents for approval of the Dyson Safety Group.
Act as the main point of contact for all aspects of Quality for high level product specification and performance discussions. This will involve regular communication with Design Managers, Head of Category & Global Business Head.
Able to communicate within ‘Project Leadership Teams’ (PLT’s) / Cross teams.
Able to represent the Quality function in Project Milestones as well as running of Quality Phase reviews, including ensuring the Quality deliverables at each milestone are appropriate and the delivery timelines are realistic.
Able to work with cross teams and the Contract Manufacturers to ensure clear objectives are set for each project phase and build.
