About the role

  • Own SKU BOM – Setup & manage new SKU BOM from release for development (RFD) until approved for production (AFP). Work closely with Engineering & Design Manager to ensure BOM information that release to Contract Manufacture (CM) are according to latest design revision for all iteration.
  • Generate OPEX estimation for prototyping/engineering build budget planning & maintain OPEX tracker to capture latest estimation vs actual spend
  • Own & coordinate in-house prototype build . Consolidate information from Design Engineers and other cross team to manage prototype build from start till end. Work with in-house Prototyping team to ensure rig delivery follow project time plan and summarize daily updates to Project team.
  • Consolidate all sample request for prototype & engineering build into prototype tracker or machine allocation document for each build. To ensure document up-to-date, attend weekly meeting with Contract Manufacture (CM) & closely monitor CM to follow latest build plan & strategy from Project team
  • Manage SKU deliverables i.e SKU BOM, top level drawing, rating plate sticker, SKU DPAP approval, golden machine sign-off, AFPP/RFD/AFP BOM release etc. 
  • Managing key activity such as Specification & Requirement setup, General Assembly (GA) creation, release Change Request, assign Test Request & Prototype Request, Deviation Request review, OPEX health check and KPI reporting.
  • Able to identify risk on PE key activity if any delay on project deliverables and escalate the risk to the project team leader & line manager for mitigation plan.
  • Involve in cross team, technical & CM meeting to coordinate crucial activity and manage risk until project roll into production.

About you

  • Degree in Engineering or Science discipline, preferably mechanical, product design or similar
  • Independent, good team player, good organisational skills, able to plan ahead, prioritise tasks and co-ordinate with the work of others.
  • Clear logical thought and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills. Able to translate and escalate project information including progress & risk to project teams, managers and Head of Category as required.
  • Good project management skill, he/she need to work with various cross team such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Planning, Compliance, Commercial and Operations. 
  • Familiar with technical term and engineering BOM plus drawing, manage to create new engineering BOM & drawing base on product requirement & design changes.
  • Confident personality to communicate with wider team & higher level of people across the department.
  • Able to multitask without losing focus in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Teamcenter, Unigraphic NX, Excel, Word, Project & Power point.
