About the role

  • Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) activities related to Advanced Quality Planning under QA.

  • Work with RDD to finalize the part requirements, including Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) and Critical-to-Manufacturing (CTM) on technical drawings.

  • Where feasible, ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) elements are included as part of technical drawings.

  • Work with RDD to establish the metrology requirements against drawing requirements.

  • Responsible to develop suppliers’ quality management processes to meet the drawing requirements.  This includes but not limited to: Control Plan, QSI, FMEA, SPC.

  • Support the Dyson Part Approval Process (DPAP) activities for Start-of-Production (SOP) Readiness.

  • Establish internal metrology capability for new materials covering 4M1E considerations.

  • Follow up and close out corrective actions up to SOP.

  • Transition the supplier management responsibility from Advanced Quality to Sustaining Quality, including handover of open items.

About you

  • Degree in Electronic/Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience in Quality / Process capacity in a manufacturing industry.

  • Able to understand part drawings, including GD&T requirements.

  • Knowledge of basic statistical principles and its application is a must.

  • Knowledge and practical experience in measurement equipment (CMM, Roundness, and Vision measurement) would be an added advantage.

  • Must be familiar with commonly used productivity & statistical software such as Microsoft Office and Minitab/JMP.

  • Able to work flexible hours to suit work/scheduling demands.

  • Able to travel on short notices for supplier related issues.

  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
