About The Role

The RTR-SME role offers an excellent opportunity to help shape and drive our Finance organization to the next level. This role will be working with many functions in the organization and designing processes that will be implemented across the globe.

In this role, you will report directly to the Record-To-Report Global Process Owner (RTR GPO) and your role is to design and implement the best-in-class RTR processes for Dyson Finance organization. The goal is to design processes with adequate controls that are scalable and efficient to support the future business growth of our organization.

This position is responsible to ensure that internal and external reporting is in compliance with IFRS, that the processes operate with effective internal controls and that all reporting deadlines and requirements are met.

In addition, this role requires a self-starter with strong process design and modelling skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous goals.

The RTR SME will be responsible for:

  • Taking full ownership of global process design for sub-processes and implementation with a focus on providing values to the business, reducing process costs and maximizing investment returns.

  • Reviewing existing global processes, service deviations and systems with a focus on simplifying and standardizing them.

  • Working closely with various Teams on digitalization & automation of the global processes.

  • Participating in detail design of processes to be transitioned to the centre.

  • Engaging stakeholders to adopt the globally standardized processes, with regional and local requirements customization required for legal/tax compliance.

  • Working with the RTR Operations, Controllers, and Internal Controls team to ensure all RTR processes have appropriate controls.

  • Overseeing the preparation of schedules and account analyses as requested by internal and external auditors to satisfy internal control requirements.

  • Establishing clear and concise Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for processes, monitor process effectiveness and perform root cause analysis to ensure process performances are as expect.

  • Establishing clear Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Reverse SLA (RSLA) and ensure that clear communication to stakeholders and that teams are able to deliver on them.

  • Reviewing and signing-off on Desk Top Procedures (DTP) on a regular basis.

  • Conducting regular trainings for teams to ensure process knowledge.

About You

  • University degree (Business / Finance / Economy / Management).

  • 7 or more years of experience in within finance & accounting, including previous experience in a similar role in an international environment.

  • Extensive technical knowledge of accounting, reporting and analysis. Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification is highly regarded.

  • Demonstrable experience in process mapping and visualization tools. SAP Signavio experience would be as a plus.

  • Experience in RTR process design, optimization, standardization and improvements.

  • Capability of directing the resolution of complex or unusual business problems.

  • Ability to analyse financial and operating statistics and provide meaningful feedback.

  • Highly motivated, deadline driven, and ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with high volume activities and changing priorities.

  • Business partnering experience with a different level of stakeholders.

  • Excellent user knowledge of SAP is a must.
