About the role

This is a Singapore based position which works with refurbishment sites which are situated global across multiple regions, including Americas, Europe, Asia.  The role sits within the Global Aftersales team and provides support to define and enhance refurbishment operations and delivery of products to all markets.  Under the leadership of Head of Operations, he/she will also be expected to identify opportunities/benefits to our refurbishment manufacturing operations.

  • Lead and manage manufacturing operations of refurbished products working with refurbishment sites which include contract manufacturing partners, and Dyson internal sites. 

  • Aligning build plan and supply plan; Driving build and delivery performance.

  • Manage and coordinate NPI and process engineering changes to drive increased adherences to specifications.

  • Drive problem solving and identify improvement opportunities to optimize delivery of implementation.

  • Implement key efficiency program that reduce cost, improve quality.  

  • Cost Management, managing claims, ensuring cost benefit are reviewed/tracked to ensure benefits are realized.

  • Driving CSR program.

  • Driving Kaizen/Continuous Improvement/Lean programs at refurbishment manufacturer.

  • Design, develop and maintain process and standards for cosmetic, functionality, safety, and performance.

  • Build relationships with internal departments, internal and external teams, across multiple disciplines.

  • Implementation of new contract manufacturer.

About you

  • Self-motivated, independent, result-driven, exceptional team player

  • Manufacturing awareness – Understanding the drivers and technologies of a manufacturing organization and experienced in managing contract manufacturers.

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Management.

  • At least 5 -10 years of working experience in manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of refurbishment operations of electronics devices / electrical appliances.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing process, equipment, test /validation /qualification.

  • Lean manufacturing principles- understanding the principles of lean and how to apply to a manufacturing organization, including Six Sigma Training.

  • Cost control behaviours/business acumen.

  • Strong technical aptitude – ability to quickly learn new concepts.

  • Desire and ability to innovate and improve upon current processes

  • Excellent organizational ability.

  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to build a network of connections both upstream and downstream within Dyson, and with external supply chain network

  • Ability to travel to Asia, Europe, Americas.
