The role takes ownership of the internal and external resource across planning, produce and delivery phases to ensure that the delivers upon the strategic objectives set their category. Working closely with the Commercial Management teams, the Regional Delivery Lead (GCN) is critical in ensuring that we make effective decisions about matters both internally and externally through use of the CoE Ways of Working (WoW) Framework. The Regional Delivery Lead (GCN) is responsible for ensuring our launches and campaigns are planned, governed, resourced and managed to meet the business needs.

 

1. Across the Define, Develop, Design and Deliver phases of the project (the project lifecycle)

The Regional Delivery Lead (GCN) will ensure that GTM teams as well as Greater China marketing teams follow the process and provide transparency in decision making.

Across the Define and Develop phases of the project, ensure that teams are working to assess the feasibility of the project. Ensure that GCN commercial teams and creative teams (where appropriate) are closely linked into the project as it progresses.

Responsible for scoping the size of the campaign through the Develop phase of a project. Do we have sufficient plans, resource and budget in place to deliver upon the project?

Responsible for ensuring that the Commercial Manager communicates in a timely manner the project objective and background through a project brief and channel immersion during the Design phase of a project.

Responsible for ensuring that the Project Manager is suitably up to speed with the complexities of the project during the Design phase to enable them to collate a SoW for the project from the Producers of the Channel teams.

Accountable for delivering the content of the SoW on time and to budget. Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that risks, issues and deviations to spec. are carefully managed and communicated and do not affect the go live date.

2. Lead and inspire the CoE GCN PM team in Shanghai to do planning and production to deliver projects that are suitably planned, governed, resourced and managed.

Responsible for developing, maintaining and visibly storing a timeline of the project, encompassing teams across the Commercial function.

Ensure that teams are prepared to communicate the status of the project cross- functionally in the CoE process.

Responsible for the annual budget for asset production. Responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered to cost.

Ensure that resource across the SoW has been properly identified and is allocated by PMs and Producers. Use the resource management software to log resource and identify under/overutilisations to effectively manage and balance internal and external resource.

Responsible for scoping project size and forecasting/estimating resource, time and budget requirements.

Responsible for actively seeking and resolving project issues and escalating, where appropriate.

3. Team
and manage production from brief to delivery, adhering to the Dyson process.

Agree detailed briefs and specifications for new content projects - interrogating brief owners and ensure requirements are justifiable, achievable and meet the overall business objectives.

Lead the conversation with brief owners and develop a clear SoW during the briefing phase and ensure delivery during the deliver phase.

Scope large pieces of film and content projects, leading the process of breaking down amorphous problems into deliverable solutions.

Manage production budgets up to £400k and able to build detailed cost estimates and timing plans

4. Team work with CoE GCN core function teams such as CSI, Media, Retail and Owner Experience, etc. as well as China’s Sales, Digital and Communications teams.

b. Building an integrated approach across different teams in Shanghai including Sales, Marketing, Digital and Communications teams

5. Work closely with the Planning and Operations team in Hong Kong to transparently communicate risks to the business.

Attend regular planning sessions to communicate status and escalate issues where appropriate

Maintain a close relationship with the Production and Delivery team in Hong Kong to share best practice and ways of working.

Develop and deliver film production efficiencies through bundling, cross regional consolidation, and virtual film sets.

Skills / Experience Required

  • Must have significant hands-on experience (ideally 7-10 years) of producing high production value content in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan especially digital content with marketing communications objectives.

  • Well-drilled in end-to-end content delivery, including: shaking down briefs, scoping, creative development, production, post-production (editing, visual effects, sound design) and delivery of projects on time and on budget.

  • Distillation of creative briefs into to efficient execution plans

  • An open-minded approach to different production models and ability to innovate.

  • Experience of crewing-up productions, pulling in the right expertise according to the task at

    hand.

  • Have a sound knowledge of the Dyson channels in which content will live (social, retail,

    broadcast, PR) to be able to advise and direct on strategy and to ensure they receive

    tailored and impactful content.

  • Strong leadership, influencing and collaboration skills, managing diverse stakeholders

  • Ability to work comfortably and lead change in a complex matrix organisation

  • Ability to drive transformation and execute change

  • Highly organized with proven experience in program management

  • Strong knowledge of project management disciplines such as Agile methodology as well as waterfall project lifecycle.

  • Calm, considered approach and be able to cope with a very busy workload

  • Good team manager with career development plan for direct reports

  • Proven execution capabilities on Creative and production management

  • Strong financial and budget management skills

  • Track record of building a high-performing team and delivering results

  • Languages: English and Mandarin are required. Other languages like Cantonese, Japanese or Korean is preferred.
