About The Role


To provide a single point of contact for delivery teams for Release and Environment Management activities across a portfolio of projects.



  • Review portfolio plans to understand high level release and environment demand for medium (3-6mths) and long term (6mth+) planning

  • Review project scope to understand what applications and environments are impacted (including up and downstream dependencies)

  • Define release approach to best suit project delivery approach

  • Work with project managers to highlight any new environment requirements

  • Maintain backlog of continual improvement (CI) activities


  • Create and manage plans for delivery of new environment requirements

  • Identify any potential conflict with release and environments and work with project teams to resolve them

  • Ensure release and environment schedule accurately reflects demand and is aligned with resource management

  • Maintain a list of Applications in scope of the portfolio

  • Plan and delivery CI work items from backlog


  • Act as a point of escalation for project teams in the event of an issue with environments

  • Review planned changes to underlying infrastructure and identify any releases or environment impacted

  • Maintain accurate lists of release content based on project updates and details in Jira

  • Review all defects closed with RCA of environment and add items to CI backlog where appropriate

  • Publish communications on planned and unplanned events affecting environments

  • Maintain a weekly report on release and environment activities for the portfolio. To include;

    • New demand since last reporting period

    • RAG status on in-flight project environment activities

    • 6 month forward schedule of environment demand

    • Major unplanned events, impact and RCA

    • Risks/Issues tracking

    • Continual improvement Backlog/WIP
