About the role

This role forms a critical part of success for the new established Dyson Business Services (DBS) and an enabler of the future operating model. This role reports to DBS Reporting & Analytics Manager.

The DBS organization provides process and service excellence to support the Company with a goal of delivering strategic value, innovating and enhancing services over time to meet the changing needs of the business. The Finance Reporting & Analytics Lead should be a strong and proactive reporting expert with a transformational mindset and reporting delivery record. This individual will deliver a range of reports, mostly in OTC area, as well creation of new reporting suites. As a result, this role will deliver transformative solutions, improve the way people work, enhance self service capability and elevate customer experience. This person will use their experience in process transformation and technology application to increase quality of reporting, enable analytics and data driven decision making.

The role is responsible for:

  • Delivery of service:

  • Deliver scope of Reporting in line with Service Catalogue and stakeholder’s expectations

  • Production of reporting packs, operational reports and Board packs

  • Consolidate data, reporting, and reviewing the finance and management performance reports

  • Gather data, verify quality, provide reporting in an agreed format, in line with SLAs

  • Analyse information and provide insights

  • Change and Transformation

  • Create and build new solutions to improve quality and satisfaction from the service

  • Identify opportunities to deliver new value-added services, advanced analytics, data visualisation and automation

  • Update and modify existing reports to fit functional requirements and design principles for standardised reporting

  • Champion standardisation, simplification of ways of working, collaboration across teams and ease of interaction with markets and group functions

  • Support design of new reporting suites

  • Gather business and functional requirements, manage expectations, facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders

  • Support agile development of reporting suites – from Minimal Viable Product to deployment

  • Support design of the right SLAs and KPIs

About you

  • You have experience of data management, visualization, analytics and building reporting solutions, including creating standardized reporting suites

  • Proven record of using SQL language and experience working with relational databases

  • A good working knowledge in shared service organization with knowledge about Order to Cash processes, preparing management reporting packs and presentations

  • Proven track record on the reports which brought optimization in area of finance or shared services processes

  • You are capable of building dashboards and visualization solutions

  • Energetic and assertive – you can present and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders, challenge their thinking, influence the outcome

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and have an analytical mindset

  • You are thinking analytically and responsibly with willingness to learn new systems and processes.

  • You have experience of using at least one of the BI visualizations and data extracting tools (e.g. Looker – preferable, Tableau or Power BI)

  • Advanced MS Office knowledge, especially in MS Excel - VBA experience is a big plus
