About us

Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We solve the problems others choose to ignore, with surprising new inventions that defy convention and simply work better. We’re driven by progress and thrive on the challenge of relentless improvement. We’re growing fast and our ambition is huge – more categories, more locations and more people.

Within Dyson research, we are pioneering groundbreaking technology, enabling products that solve the problems that others ignore. The Heater technology research team is a mixed skill group of material scientists, mechanical engineers and thermodynamics experts responsible for early stage development of the next generation heating and cooling technologies for future Dyson products.

We split our time between applied product support and fundamental research; expanding our own modelling, build and test capabilities and investigating new technologies to solve real world problems. The team works alongside leading technical specialist in a highly creative working environment. We frequently run projects with third parties around the world including universities, manufactures and research houses and are also called in as subject matter experts to consult on projects at later stages of development with engineering teams in Singapore and Malaysia.
