Dyson has a strong and influential Quality, Safety and Sustainability business function.  Within Quality, the New Product Quality department collaborates with Design, Development, Operations, Procurement and Commercial to drive forward advances in both product reliability and product satisfaction on all projects across all categories before launch. 

Within the New Product Satisfaction team, we put the user and product at the centre of what we do working collaboratively with Research and NPI teams at the early concept stage of development of Dyson’s future disruptive innovations. We gather and analyze consumer and product insight to support the development of product attributes and targets before validating these through trialing ahead of product launches. We then monitor and assess the satisfaction performance of products, providing a closed loop process feeding back into future projects.

About the role

You will support the New Product Satisfaction team by managing large scale validation trials, starting in our new Wearables category.  You will be responsible for the first trial of Dyson’s new disruptive innovations in the real world, in people’s homes, at a high resolution, globally.

You will also manage a global panel of trial and insights participants and support the development of our company wide community platform. You will be responsible for maintaining the current process that the team has in place, with a view to owning and improving it with experience in the role.

  • Day to day management of a global community of trialists.

  • Manage recruitment of trial participants

  • Manage the paperwork, approvals, consent forms, NDA’s and storage of such in accordance with our GDPR policies

  • Manage surveys, forums and responses from trial participants

  • Schedule appointments between the participants and the Product Insights Lead

  • Manage the delivery of hardware and software to the trial participants globally

  • Communicate between all relevant teams internal and external to Dyson to ensure effective & timely input.

  • Prioritize issues escalated by trialists through to Dyson RDD teams.

  • Build relationships between Dyson and its partners. Desirable

  • Management of the current participant database

  • Contribution to the future development and growth of the community platform.

  • Track completion of research activities, following up as necessary,

  • Organise trial data for analysis and conduct light quantitative data analysis on an ad hoc basis

About you


  • Degree qualification. Relevant industry experience or equivalent industrial experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing technical programmes or product/user trials.

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Experience setting up and or running multi-market projects.

  • Experience working at a consumer research or technology company.

  • Able to work independently and problem solve

  • Patient with a mentality that thrives in fluid, dynamic and often unstructured environments.

  • Experience or knowledge of recruiting participants

  • Experience managing a large community of users.
