About the Role
As a Dyson Retail Assistant, you will deliver outstanding retail experiences that fascinate shoppers through the presentation and demonstration of our machines, whilst educating on hair science. Reporting to the Regional Manager, our Retail Assistants are responsible for both sales and experience. In Dyson we say that our products are bought, not sold. That doesn’t mean we don’t sell anything, what this means is that we get to know our customers, we understand their needs, we give a 5-star service and with every purchase we strive to make the customer’s life easier and better. Must be available to work weekends.
Main Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Deliver hands on hair styling demonstrations with our customers, showcasing the unique benefits of Dyson products across the Beauty range – styling customer’s hair based on their hair type and desired result
Taking personal responsibility for achieving individual KPIs, including daily, weekly and monthly sales whilst delivery a high standard of customer service
Utilise the 4E’s How to Sell framework when interacting with customers in store, through Engage, Explore, Explain and Execute
Utilise the How to Sell framework and ongoing coaching from Regional Manager to achieve Monthly Volume, Conversion & Premium Mix targets in store
Proactively approach customers in store, question and generate interest around Dyson products that are suited to their individual needs
Educate and provide guidance on supporting products and/or parts
Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising in your area, always looking for opportunities to increase Dyson in-store presence
Build strong relationships with store management and staff, ensuring consumers are directed to the Dyson brand even when you are not present
Achieve a standard of excellence in our work processes and outcomes, ensuring adherence to Dyson policies and all relevant regulatory and legal requirements
Promote and demonstrate Dyson behaviours, implement and comply with health and safety procedures
You will have an understanding of retail principles such as in-store presentation standards. You will be comfortable working towards sales targets along with a keen interest in the beauty and hair industry with the ability to communicate how our hair care machines work differently, with a confidence in styling both your own hair and that of customers. A high standard of personal presentation and excellent customer service is paramount.
Previous skills and experience:
Customer service and/or sales experience
Experience within a premium retail environment is advantageous
Experience within the hair or beauty industry is advantageous
A confident approach and a friendly, engaging manner
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate complex information simply
Ability to work independently
Time management skills with the ability to multi-task
Determination, passion and drive for results
Hard working, ambitious approach to all that you undertake in giving in-depth bespoke consultations to answer every customer's questions
