About the role
The purpose of the role is to design, deliver and execute an effective training plan across all Dyson retailers, the front line team and demonstrators (Experts & Stylists) covering all aspects of product knowledge and ‘why Dyson’ sales skills. Full accountability for training budget and team management.
Key responsibilities
Deliver internal training and education on all new and existing products, to support the development, knowledge and engagement of Dyson products within the front line teams (Experts/Stylist, Retail activation team, NAM Team, telesales and call centre)
Develop and Deliver comprehensive training sessions on new and existing products to ensure knowledge, engagement and enthusiasm is transferred
Develop, apply and facilitate an engaging annual calendar of training sessions for line managers across retail, customer care and commercial functions to build core line manager skill sets of performance management training, development plan delivery and giving and receiving feedback.
Coach, deliver constructive feedback and ensure a high level of product knowledge and sales skills are embedded and transferred to front line teams
Adapt, develop and execute the Training programs for Dyson and Retailer´s sales staff.
Work with external providers to develop Training programmes that build the capability of our Sales Team
Apply Dyson materials to functional environments to ensure relevance and impact e.g. role play materials suitable for engineering and retail environments where the performance conversations can be tougher and done through remote working.
Prioritise remote teams of retail and customer care where existing gaps are greatest and team sizes largest.
Support core commercial teams where first line management roles are common and line manager skill set may not have been broad or deep.
Develop role play materials to drive a culture of giving and receiving feedback and influence functional leaders to prioritise this as a top down behaviour.
Develop strong relationships with HR Business Partners, individuals and understand processes within the market to support facilitating relevant sessions and ensure visibility of activity and desired outcome.
The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with our National Account Team, District & Area Managers and Marketing to develop annual strategies per retailer and per category and create an annual content.
Build and foster a strong Experts (Sales Advisors) and Stylist (Beauty/Hair Sales Advisors) community by delivering and executing impactful and inspiring training for our Experts and Stylists community.
Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare visuals and guidelines that are locally relevant and compliance with Dyson standards.
Ensure Dyson Perfect demo is well executed in stores working closely with trade marketing.
Be the voice of the market into global training meetings, stay update on the new technology and available Dyson resources.
Visit stores at least on a bi-monthly basis to ensure perfect demo is executed – regular travel is required
Deliver external training sessions to retailer store staff, driving Dyson brand advocacy and enhancing their ability to sell Dyson products
Plan, design and deliver training through ‘Dyson or retailer academies’, increasing their product knowledge, awareness of the brand and help them deliver the ‘why Dyson’ message
Liaise with Marketing and the retailer to produce materials for store staff to be used in conjunction with training sessions and ways of selling to drive advocacy
Plan focused training sessions in line with market activity to support Dyson plans. Provide training tools to enable excellent sales execution
Provide a comprehensive induction program to ensure all new colleagues are equipped with the knowledge and tools to excel within their roles
Deliver comprehensive inductions to all new colleagues
Periodically evaluate the induction program and recommend changes to drive enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for the brand
Develop methods to test knowledge and ensure the induction structure provides opportunity to learn about the products
Develop new training platform utilizing latest technology in order to have continuous engagement and longer lasting impact of face to face training sessions and enable fast sharing of best practices (e-learning, newsletter, Youtube, etc.)
About You
Experience in working with and understanding of electrical retailers
Relevant qualification and experience in training delivery (essential)
Previous soft sales skills training delivery (listening / questioning and closing)
Training design and delivery in large, matrix organizations where engagement of multiple stakeholders is required
Fluency verbal and written communication skills in English
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Presentation skills – able to present confidently in front of varied audiences
Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
