Description

The Sales and Service Expert is responsible for providing on-site service and support to Dyson owners and visitors alike while driving sales, upgrades and cross sales.

This role requires an energetic and outgoing personality to inspire guests who visit the Dyson Service Centre. The Sales and Service Expert will identify the needs of our customers and showcase them the right Dyson product to grow their Dyson home. This candidate’s personality and engagement will make the Dyson service centre experience unique and best in class.

This role will require the candidate be able to work alone and liaise with a small team in our workshop and the customer care call centre. This person must be a self-starter who can stay motivated with minimal supervision.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary plus sales incentives. Hours will be Monday-Friday 9-5 with possibility of changing to reflect business need

Accountabilities


Front of House: “Face of Dyson”
  • Meet and greet guests who visit the service centre.
  • Identify customer needs and help grow their Dyson home. 
  • Receive booked repairs and book walk in repairs.
  • Perform initial trouble shooting on product issues.
  • Work with repair team to ensure that repairs are completed and follow up with customer. 
  • Manage walk in escalations. 



Proactively Sell Dyson Products
  • Identify and capture sales opportunities with new and existing customers to drive revenue and achieve conversion rates.
  • Effectively develop rapport with customers to identify best product to fit their needs and close the sale.
  • Input customer sales information into Dyson POS system in order to process orders efficiently and in a timely manner.

Technical Service & Support
  • Responsible for initial troubleshooting of Dyson customer products including vacuums, fans, air purifiers, hair-dryers and other Dyson products.
  • Liaise with back of house repair team and national repair centres to have customer repairs completed in a timely manner. 

Other Duties
  • Submit daily/weekly reports of products and customers serviced; complete other reporting as necessary.
  • Input warranty cards on a daily basis.
  • Relish opportunities to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role.

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in sales, customer service and technology.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic team player, driven by exceeding sales performance requirements. 
  • Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity.
  • A desire to help others, to identify, meet and exceed their needs and expectations.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels of a business.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; strong presentation skills required
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of Dyson products would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. 
Individual Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels of a business.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; strong presentation skills required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel required.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership. 
  • Knowledge of Dyson products would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
