About the Role:

As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales and operations strategy in the indirect channel for the market. You will lead a high-performing sales and retail experience team, drive revenue growth, conquest new channels, and ensure sales operations processes and execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and operations leadership within that expertise on indirect channels and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Develop Sales and Operations Strategy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and operations strategy in the indirect channel for México’s market, aligned with company goals and objectives.

  • Identify market trends, client needs, and competitive intelligence to guide strategic decision-making.

  • Set clear sales and operations targets and KPIs and monitor performance regularly.

Develop joint business plans for retailers at the different channels we operate.

  • Develop joint business plans for distributors.

  • Seek consensus and approval from internal stakeholders for proposed plans; negotiate with accounts to company's position, maximizing profit outcomes.

  • Achieve sales, profit, and inventory goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

  • Manage funds and resources for the best return on investment. Analyze data and implement high quality solutions and actions to solve problems proactively with customer and team.

  • Lead the controlled retail strategy through the Retail Activation function:

    • Control and monitor the P&L for physical & offline retailers, delivering cost effective solutions across the portfolio.

    • Monitor the ROI of all Expert & Stylist programs.

    • Ensure all experts are trained to the highest level and standards are maintained across the network.

  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with Training, Category, and the Digital team to ensure that plans are connected and integrated.  Work closely with Group Retail and Group Commercial teams to ensure that the customer experience is consistently executed across all portfolio.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the region.

  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and retention rates.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for major client accounts.

Revenue Growth and Business Expansion

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop and launch specific sales and operations initiatives.

  • Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.

Operational Efficiency

  • Streamline and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

  • Oversee inventory management, trade stock and demand forecasting for the market.

  • Own the end-to-end sales processing, including order management, invoicing, and fulfillment, to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the sales and operations, retail marketing and education budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

  • Track and report on financial performance, making adjustments as needed to achieve financial targets.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse sales and operations team to achieve and exceed sales targets and operational efficiency goals.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the multifunctional team.

  • Recruit, train, and develop top-tier sales and operations talent.

  • Inspire, lead, and motivate the team through regular feedback, 1:1’s, Personal Development Plans (PDP) and objectives.

  • Placing customer experience at the heart at all processes and decisions.

  • Manage processes to ensure that the team is as effective as possible to meet business goals.

  • Identifies gaps in knowledge and skills in the team and builds appropriate training solutions.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, operations, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and operations leadership roles, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and optimizing operations.

  • Extensive knowledge of the México’s retail market. (Focus on digital and/or beauty channels preferred)

  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing multifunctional teams.

  • Experience with CRM software, sales analytics tools, and operations management systems.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
