Sales Manager - Retail Channel

The Sales Manager - Retail Channel is responsible for leading a team of Regional Managers to drive in-store consumer sales volume whilst increasing sales revenue, gross margin and market share for Dyson and its retail partners across all categories and nationally. 
The role is also accountable for achieving the strategic and tactical direction of in-store sales whilst providing consumers with an experience that aligns with Dyson’s objective of achieving our 2020 vision. 
Our Regional Managers and Demonstrators work every weekend - as such, working up to 2 weekends per month will be required for this role.


  • Strategy implementation for Demonstrators (Direct employees & 3rd Party) nationally 
  • Deliver annual sales (volume and revenue) and Gross Margin across our retail partners who are supported by a Dyson Demonstrator
  • Achieve team performance through effective people leadership 
  • Drive product expertise and training for your team of Regional Managers and Demonstrators
  • Build, develop and promote an effective and high performing team of 3 direct reports and 70 Demonstrators and seamlessly integrate 3rd party team members
  • Lead the first class execution of Dyson in-store demonstrator plans with Australian consumers
  • Collaborate cross functionally (field team, trainers, national accounts team and marketing) to achieve executional excellence, achieve targets, grow the team's conversion rates and achieve Dyson's overarching strategy and plan


  • Significant commercial experience in retail and/or sales environments 
  • 4+ years management experience; possessing both sales leadership and cross functional/general management experience
  • Proven delivery of sales results in a retail operations environment 
  • High level experience of customer negotiations and dealings
  • Evidence of budget control and can demonstrate financial expertise
  • Proven people leadership experience
  • Methodical business planning capability with a strong analytical approach
  • Excellent leadership ability
  • Decisive, persuasive and assertive
