About the Role


Reporting to the Training Lead, this role is responsible for managing and executing educational training programs for Dyson salons within South Korea. This role is also responsible for creating the ideal learning environment to help hairstylists inspire and promote advocacy for Dyson technology and machines through in-salon engagement, masterclasses, and other shows and events in the industry.

Key understanding & commitments

  • Understand and exemplify Dyson philosophy and brand culture
  • Understand and strengthen the relationship between Dyson and external salon/stylist
  • Participate in all corporate events and supports Dyson events and shows as directed
  • Maintains personal image and technical competence
  • This position requires intermittent supervision as incumbent will be working independently the majority of the time in the field directly with our brand, distributor and salon partners.

Plan & conceptualize Pro-focused training & seminars

  • Execution of national education initiatives including planning and execution of product launch and events
  • Execute social media activation & partnership opportunities to drive Dyson education social awareness and influence
  • Master the basics but also deliver fresh thinking – look at innovative ways to reach professional stylists to ensure that Dyson ‘owns’ the Professional Haircare space

Salon management  

  • Expert knowledge of the salon industry and market
  • Conduct regular in-person training at Dyson salons to reinforce Dyson brand story and haircare technology, and to drive advocacy within professional stylists (at least 20 sessions a month)
  • Provide basic VM & maintenance support for Dyson machines in Dyson salons
  • Develop regular learning engagement tools (quizzes, contests etc) to ensure stylists understands Dyson’s technology & machines.
  • Build effective working relationships with Dyson internal stakeholders & external professional stylists to ensure alignment on salon programmes

New Salon Development

  • Demonstrate Dyson technology & machines to new Dyson salons.
  • Implement and execute education plans for new partner salons to achieve organic advocacy in new Dyson Salons and stylists
  • Introduce Dyson Salon programmes and encourage stylists’ participation

Product Development & Testing

  • Prepare, conduct testing and capture qualitative feedback on Dyson Machines from professional stylists
  • Perform market research and stay attuned of competition to report qualitative feedback from the field


  • Provide monthly education status for Dyson Salons
  • Prepare and update professional education materials
  • Plan and maintain monthly calendar of salon activations

About you

Experience and Education

  • Diploma or a related field required
  • Superior technical hairdressing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of business and educational aspects of the Salon Industry
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills

  • Problem Solver - must be able to critically analyze and tackle problems, as well as to present viable solutions
  • Broad thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills - ability to use market analysis to identify high potential opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - must be able to deal with ambiguity, pace and willing to take risks as needed


  • Min 6+ years in salon/education industry
  • Experience in delivering salon training and creating training content for salon stylists
  • Experience in engaging salon stylists, and understanding of salon sales and service


  • Technical hairdressing skills
  • Written and verbal skills - able to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • English language proficiency is plus.
