About the role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Science Specialist for our Global Supply Chain. This is a newly created role that aims at analysing, interpreting, and optimizing supply chain data to drive business decisions and improve overall supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and supply chain management.
You will work closely with senior level stakeholders. You must be able to excite people for your vision and cross-functional leadership skills are key.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement predictive models to forecast demand, supply, and inventory levels using machine learning / advanced time series.
Analyse supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes.
Design and implement data visualizations and dashboards to communicate supply chain performance metrics to stakeholders.
Conduct ad-hoc analyses and prepare reports as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements using data-driven approaches.
About you
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, and understanding of advanced supply chain processes are a plus.
Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical modelling and data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau.
Leverage advanced data analysis skills to prepare for complex data analysis and models towards problem solving.
Understand business context, identify, and scope business requirements and priorities, formulate problem/opportunity, and drive analytical solutions.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python and SQL.
Proficiency with cloud technologies like GCP is a plus.
Knowledge of supply chain management concepts, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and transportation planning.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
