About the role

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Reporting to the Cluster Head of Supply Chain, the Demand Manager- Cluster is facilitating the Demand processes at Cluster level to produce a consolidated 18-month rolling forecast for Finished Goods and Accessories. Ensuring the adherence to the Demand Planning methodologies, the role of Demand Planner is to challenge commercial assumptions where appropriate, whilst managing the correct and timely submissions in Anaplan/Kinaxis. Working closely with the Sales (Retail, Direct and Professional) and Marketing teams, Finance Controller, Sales analyst and Logistics.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Creating 18m rolling demand plan from market insight across all cluster territories for FG&A across B2B and B2C channels

  • Working on improving forecast accuracy measures, identifying root causes and factors affecting the demand and consequent corrective actions

  • Identifying demand planning improvements and sharing best practice across all clusters for FG&A

  • Align market plans with availability to ensure achievable sales plan.  Give demand direction to the markets if required

  • Come up with demand plans for excess stock if required

  • Being the connection between SC demand and the all market functions- queries etc.

  • Ensure Product Lifecycle Management is carried out within the cluster- NPD, discontinued, exclusives, phase-in/phase out

  • Support ad-hoc sales activities

  • Validate market demand against promo plans/historic demand etc.

  • Kinaxis/Anaplan management

  • Create demand plan for refurbishment for cluster

  • Understanding customer (direct and retail) product range, promo plans (retail/Dyson) and their impact on demand for FG&A

  • Being the Supply Chain representative in cluster and regional IBP processes

  • Define in-market allocation per demand stream and retailer

  • Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role

  • Identify problems and find solutions

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify demand planning improvements and rolling out best practice across all clusters for FG&A

  • Create 18m rolling demand plan from market insight across all cluster territories for FG&A

  • Understand customer (direct and retail) product range, promo plans (retail/Dyson) and their impact on demand for FG&A

  • Establish root causes to drive out forecast inaccuracy for FG&A

  • Align market plans with availability to ensure achievable sales plan for FG&A

  • Give demand direction to the markets for FG&A

  • Kinaxis/Anaplan management for FG&A

  • Lifecycle management- NPD, exclusives, phase in/phase out for FG&A

  • Support ad-hoc sales activities for FG&A

  • Validate market demand against promo plans/historical data etc. for FG&A

  • Come up with plans for excess stock if required for FG&A

  • Being the connection between SC demand and all market functions for FG&A

  •  Supply Chain representative in cluster and regional IBP process for FG&A

  • Define in-market allocation per demand stream and retailer

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Technical:

  • Proven experience and passion in driving Demand Planning processes

  • Strong knowledge on Demand Planning methodologies

  • Management of a complex company’s ecosystems
