Senior Ecommerce Manager – Digital Retail 

Team: Global Ecommerce 

Reporting to: Head of Ecommerce 

Location: Malmesbury, United Kingdom. Full-time office based. 

 

Description 

Working as a Senior Ecommerce Manager in Digital Retail, this role is responsible for creating and executing our forward-facing global digital retail strategy through our network of market teams. 

 

Working in partnership with our market MDs and digital retail experts, you will set the overall global strategy, find suitable technology partners, deliver training, and build global capabilities that ensure Dyson is taking advantage of the opportunities to win in digital retail across 400+ retailer accounts. 

 

You’ll be Dyson’s global SME in digital retail working directly with some of the world’s biggest retail accounts including, Walmart in US, Currys in GB, MediaMarkt, in Germany and BicCamera in Japan, to name a few.

Market Overview 

Our Malmesbury campus was established in 1993. It is the base for over 4,500 Dyson people and also home to the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology. 

 

It is home to our global Research, Design and Development (RDD) centre and a base for many of our advanced engineering teams. It's also a global hub for Dyson's creative and support teams. In nearby Hullavington and Bristol, our artificial intelligence (AI), IT and automotive teams are developing next-generation technology. 

 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Create and deliver world-leading, yet simple, strategies and playbooks to deliver executional excellence globally  

  • Accountable for ensuring our technology partners are fit for purpose and deliver value for Dyson against our strategy 

  • Accountable for ensuring we have global visibility of retailer performance and can benchmark our executions with clearly defined KPIs 

  • Run quarterly performance reviews with the regional Presidents and 28 market MDs to assess progress towards our objectives 

  • Lead our market-based community of digital retail managers by providing insights, best practice, and guidance via monthly community calls 

  • Accountable for building a practical, output-focused training programme to bring the strategy to life and inspire our market leads. Training to be delivered twice annually for all sales teams 

  • Inspire senior stakeholders at key retailer accounts by presenting at strategic top-to-tops 

  • Accountable for creating new and innovative shopper experiences for our retailers. Create world-first pilots and then build into existing processes to scale at pace 

  • Be a visionary and consistently innovate to ensure we’re always at the forefront in this channel (AR, live shopping, interactive content, etc) 

  • Be the global SME for digital retail at Dyson. Build close relationships with COEs, commercial policy teams and local market leads in all regions 

 

Fulfil other duties as required 

  • Ensure we have alignment and share learnings with other channels including, Dyson.com and marketplaces 

  • Lead or provide support to other projects needing focus 

  • Pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role 

  • Fix things that you can see need fixing 

  • Identify problems and find solutions 

  • Stay up to date with the latest ecommerce developments in the retail space 

 

Experience 

  • Experience building strategies for top retail accounts  

  • Experience in content, ecommerce, and digital marketing  

  • Results driven and enjoys working in performance-based environment 

  • Experience of working in a market and a strong understanding of challenges working on retailer platforms 

  • Experience working with and managing advertising campaigns  

  • Charisma with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with accounts 

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience
