About the role

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

As a key manager of Korea PC Category team, he or she will lead and manage all marketing activities based on Personal Care strategy.

Dyson Korea as well as global is growing rapidly by superior and innovative technologies delivered to market and challenging the status quo. We don’t rest, we work for continuous and high growth, and therefore, we have many new technologies to deliver to market.

 Korea is one of the most important countries for Dyson not only due to its sizeable business but also strategic importance of very competitive electric appliance market.

 Dyson category team is responsible for a category business from its top-bottom line. The role is beyond branding, product marketing, or marketing communication but is expected to develop strategy with deep understanding of market, competitions, retail, and customers. Then, lead execution working with wide range of stakeholders not only in marketing team but also with logistics, sales, finance, etc. The team needs to work as a true business leader for the business.

The role reports to the Senior Category Manager who is responsible for Personal Care (PC) business.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES:

This person will work together with the Personal Care Category Team and with the Group (Global category team) in the following areas:

Communication/campaign planning and its executions for Gifting (Brand building / marketing communication)

  • Develop communication plan, brief to other marketing function teams and agencies, and deliver.

  • This needs to be done working very closely and productively with the other teams inside and outside Dyson

  • Review effectiveness and efficiency of media spending and improve continuously.

  • Gather and analyze data/information needed for planning and evaluations, working with research team or so.

Social Media/Influencer Management

  • Own the Personal Care social media calendar across all platforms – Facebook, Instagram, Kakao, and others

  • Work closely with the ACMs to ensure a consistent tone of voice across brand and care

  • Work alongside with ACMs and CoEs to provide insights to inform creative and develop the first, only, better content to deliver value and engagement to the Dyson community

  • Monitor and maintain a consistent presence and friendly environment across owned and social influencer-paid channels

  • Project Communication/campaign planning and its executions (Brand building / Marketing communication)

  • Develop communication plan, brief to other marketing function teams and agencies, and deliver.

  • This needs to be done working very closely and productively with the other teams inside and outside Dyson.

  • Gather and analyze data/information needed for planning and evaluations, working with research team or so.

Budget tracking/management

  • Gather necessary data/document for purchase orders from related functions

  • Manage purchase orders through system according to the Finance guidance

  • Update actual monthly spending of the category

Marketing administrative works

  • Data source management (of market, product, competition, adverts, sales etc.)

  • Regular contacts to outside suppliers (of creative, media, legal, product, research etc.)

  • Product purchase and testing set ups.

About you

  • University graduate or above. Higher education is preferred but not requirement

  • Four to six years of working experiences minimum in marketing, business planning, or relevant.

  • Project management experience of bringing strategy in life is a must. A multi-functional project leader experience preferred. 

  • Experience in multimedia strategy, plan, and executions in ATL/BTL is a must

  • In position to develop business or marketing strategy in B to C business is also preferred.

  • Those experiences in strong aspirational brand and/or technology driven brand are plus.

  • Korean (Native) + English (Business). Need to negotiate, push&pull, agree&disagree both in Korean and English
