About the job

  • Responsible for and manage facilities and environmental compliance program to meet local authorities and Dyson’s requirement.  Environmental compliance includes and not limited to sources from water, air, solid, chemical, and sound.
  • Ensure compliance to latest codes/regulations/standards related to battery manufacturing and manufacturing in general.
  • Work very closely with process team in understanding existing/new processes (input into the processes and output from the processes) that may potentially render facilities site infrastructure to be inadequate and not in compliance.
  • Perform audit on facilities site operation in ensuring environmental, process safety compliance. Address deviation timely and perform gap analysis and proposed preventive/corrective action in addressing gaps.
  • Review and verify facilities operation sampling data (e.g. waste water sampling, air sampling) in ensuring compliance to regulatory requirement.
  • As SOP owner for facilities compliance, conduct training to site facilities team in ensuring team is always keep up to date with local regulatory requirement.
  • As facilities lead in ISO9001, ISO14000 and ISO45000 or related compliance audit.  Manages facilities procedures, records, and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Setup compliance tracking dashboard in keeping team updated on  site facilities compliance performance.
  • Engage with site HSE in reviewing site control measures and identify opportunities for improvement.  
  • Participate in HAZID, Process hazard analysis for the manufacturing plant for current and new processes (facilities, manufacturing).
  • Responsible for Dyson’s manufacturing facilities compliance in Singapore.  Compliance oversight may be required for sites in Malaysia.

About You

  • Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety or related technical discipline with 6 or more years of experience or Masters in the same areas with 4 or more years of experience.
  • The incumbent must possess extensive prior experience in the above-mentioned job responsibilities.
  • Highly motivated individual and strong interpersonal/communication skills with proven ability to influence senior management to achieve desired results.
  • Change enabler who anticipates potential issues and impact on the business, and proactively resolves issues with minimal supervision. Continuous improvement experience (ACE, Six Sigma, LEAN, etc) is strongly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, strong cross-cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills with ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, persuasive and communication skills, together with strong stakeholder engagement (be it internal or external).
  • Ability in recognizing and responding towards the changes in legislation, industrial practices, social environment, and world best practices

     

Professional certification preferred

  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional),
  • CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager),
  • WSHO (Workplace Safety and Health Officer),
  • FSM (Fire Safety Manager)
