Our Global Platform Operations Team:

The Malmesbury campus is home to Dyson’s largest and most complex data centre. It’s an environment which supports a wide range of business applications, including Research and Development, Business and Finance. The Platform Team is responsible for ongoing BAU infrastructure maintenance, and for designing, evolving and improving infrastructure to provide cost-effective, compliant solutions for the future.

Where other organisations rely on third parties, Dyson design and build much of our infrastructure capability in-house. The role:

  • Perform daily infrastructure checks, resolve day-to-day operational issues

  • Resolve infrastructure alerts, incidents and requests to SLA

  • Ownership of hardware and software patching

  • Provide 3rd / 4th line support of Physical/Virtual Windows Servers and HPE/Dell/Cisco datacentre equipment

  • Deliver local infrastructure projects: builds, installations and configuration to best practice

  • Monitor and improve infrastructure performance, maintain uptime levels

  • Work with partners and security teams to ensure services are secure and compliant

  • Assess technical change which impacts IT Infrastructure Services and minimise risks

  • Participate in DR reviews, tests and performance testing

  • Assist with capacity planning reports, and reviews of global infrastructure landscape

  • Mentor junior team members

  • Physical lifting and shifting of hardware
