Senior Interior Designer


Singapore - St James Power Station Headquarters

About The Role 

The senior interior designer will be responsible for leading teams to design and deliver Dyson offices and facilities. The geographical reach may change depending on pipeline and demand. This role will also be responsible for delivering in house feasibility studies in the early stages of a project.

  • Lead regional internal and external teams to design and deliver projects to the business ambitions and standards.

  • Review, own and be accountable for external design consultant deliverables.

  • Review progress on site and ultimately be responsible for  design quality and experience

  • Prepare and develop drawings, models (3D and physical), images and any other necessary documents, where required, relating to architectural and/or interior design.

  • Prepare zoning, stacking and testfits for offices and facilities of various scales.

  • Prepare design and feasibility reports and presentations.

  • Co-ordination of internal and external project teams – including engineers, project managers, cost managers, internal facilites management, IT and security teams.

  • Communication and management of internal stakeholders and their requirements and expectations. 

  • Requirement gathering and space budgeting.

  • Prepare design intent packages.

  • Prepare progress and site visit reports.

About You

  • Minimum of 8-10 years working experience in architecture or interior design. Workplace experience preferred.

  • Qualification/Degrees in Architectural or Interior Design

  • Ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project. This should include but not limited to: AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software), 3D modelling and visualization, Adobe Suite - in particular Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator, Microsoft Office – in particular excel, powerpoint and word.

  • Agility, flexibility and versatility is key with an open work attitude and approach.

  • Ability to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion

  • Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction. Proactive attitude.

  • Ablility to take ownership of responsibilities and demonstrate commitment and passion.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team.

  • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally

  • Able to cope with conflicting demands and prioritise duties.

  • Previous experience of working on fit out projects from conception to completion. Particularly onsite experience and experience of working with cost and project managers as well as contractors and suppliers.
