Senior Logistics Operation Manager 

About the role

The Senior Logistics Operation Manager is a key position within the South Korea’s Supply Chain team and the main tasks are 1) operations and cost management of 3PL,

2) management of import and export operations by freight forwarders.

This role reports to the South Korea’s Head of Supply Chain and works cross-functionally with Dyson Korea teams (Sales, Digital, Customer Service and Finance), external partners, as well as, but not limited to, the regional Dyson logistics team in Singapore. The Senior Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for stock availability, warehouse operational excellence and continuous cost review to help grow the business in South Korea by ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right timing.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

The role will manage the import & export, warehouse management, transport management, order fulfilment, reverse logistics, and inventory management.

  • Manage the end-to-end logistics service to fulfil the demand from both our B2B and B2C customers.
  • Lead the team of 3 to manage daily logistics operation including warehousing and transportation with 3PL to fulfil customer order in Korea.
  • Own the resolution to manage the daily operation exceptions.
  • Manage sales order processing team to secure precise and in-time order entry.
  • Manage the logistics resource and capacity planning with 3PL to fulfil the demand fluctuation during peak season like black Friday event.
  • Manage the reverse logistics, regular revisit the return policy and assess the risk and opportunity to drive operation efficiency, compliance, and brand protection.
  • Initiate projects to enhance the operation reliability and stability.
  • Develop the supplier performance mechanism, score card, Service Level Agreement, etc and track to deliver the result.
  • Own the logistics spending, drive the cost saving project to achieve the annual saving target.
  • Own the logistics systems, actively adapt new techniques to achieve higher logistics efficiency and visibility.
  • Engage proactively with internal/external parties/stakeholders. (Sales, Customer Service, Leadership team, etc)
  • Engage with Customs to understand the regulation and industry knowledge and keep updated to the latest.

About you

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain or logistics management, logistics experience in e-commerce field or FMCG industry.
  • 5+ years’ people management
  • Experience of LEAN logistics management, project management are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of order to cash supply chain operations/system including EDI connections, SAP, and WMS.
  • Experience of driving RFP for 3PL and warehouse transition.
  • Result-oriented and good problem-solving skill.
  • Project management experience with 3PL such as NPI, high volume rework and quality issue management.
  • Good communication skills and capacity for teamwork
  • Positive, can-do attitude to business
  • Fluent in English.
