Dyson Singapore is looking for an extraordinary Senior Logistics Programme Manager to be based in our Technology Centre in Singapore.

About the role

Dyson Global Logistics is looking for an extraordinary Senior Logistics Programme Manager to join our team as the key strategic leader in Logistics Innovation. The Senior Logistics Programme Manager is a leadership role in the Global Logistics organisation managing implementation of a multitude of projects including those of a transformational and technical nature, alongside managing a small team of project managers. The successful candidate will lead the development of the Logistics PMO, whilst also steering and providing guidance to the Logistics Innovation team on continuous improvement and new product implementation projects. The successful candidate will enjoy leading and shaping strategy within a fast paced, complex, and sometimes ambiguous environment with both internal stakeholders and our strategic partners. He/ She will drive collaboration with functional owners to establish and nurture strong cross-functional relationships, whilst identifying organisational gaps and creating best in class programme governance structure and process to ensure a consistent continuous improvement ethos.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Develop, implement and own structured programme management tools and methods to manage and oversee the development and implementation of all new projects, practices and processes across the Logistics Excellence scope, enabling successful project delivery and change management activity in a timely manner and to budget.
  • Generates and develops strategic initiatives and ideas to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the Global Logistics team, whilst deploying strong governance and best-practice standards that support business growth. 
  • Is responsible for business cases developed by the Logistics Innovation team for new and continuous improvement projects, providing constructive feedback and identifying gaps to enable robust business case submissions to wider stakeholder groups. 
  • Encourage and drive development of strategic process, supply chain development and continuous improvement initiatives within the Logistics Excellence and wider Global Logistics team within a complex and growing operational network. 
  • Champions the use of benchmarking activities, new standardized processes, and technology, taking the lead within cross-functional teams to share knowledge and collaborate to deliver efficient, robust, and workable solutions.
  • Operates a strong technical knowledge with a pragmatic approach, dives into the detail whilst also being able to present ideas and solutions in a concise nature to business leaders.

Skills and Knowledge Required for the Role

  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain, with a clarity for understanding the importance and interdependencies associated with each stage of the process — Plan, Source, Make, Deliver.
  • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing logistics activities and partnerships, including working with manufacturers/3PLs and strategic partners.
  • Experience in process mapping and experience in creation of process flows, work instructions and SOPs for operational deployment. 
  • Strong organisation, communication and presentation skills including the ability to evaluate complex logistics solutions and articulate these in an easy-to-understand manner to senior stakeholders. 
  • Excellent ability to analyse and report complex suit of datasets to provide meaningful business insights, effectively manage root cause resolution and clearly articulate improvement opportunities.
  • Experience in Supply Chain and Logistics Transformation projects, including previous delivery of Order Management, Control Towers and/or process automation. 

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • 10+ years' operational logistics experience in relevant industries.
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English.
  • Business or Supply Chain related degree and Project Management certification.
  • Ability to travel at short notice.
