Senior Manager Integrated Business Planning

About us

We are looking for a Senior Manager Integrated Business Planning with experience and passion in portfolio planning. This is a new role that aims at establishing the next level in our IBP journey. The successful candidate must a solid appreciation for sales and operations planning (S&OP), multiple years of experience in portfolio planning and a strong background in supply chain. A deep understanding of product strategy, product lifecycle management with launch and phase-out planning is mandatory. Implications of portfolio decisions on operational and financial metrics must be clear to you. You will work closely with senior level stakeholders and must be comfortable in preparing and presenting complex matters to them.  

About the role

  • You will work across the entire cycle for Integrated Business Planning (IBP), with particular focus on portfolio planning; IBP follows a monthly operational and financial planning cycle as well as an annual cycle that feeds into the budget process
  • You will be responsible for establishing portfolio planning within our IBP cycle
  • You need to actively engage with the lifecycle managers for each product category to ensure portfolio health, appropriate target setting, gap identification and phase-in / phase-out decision making
  • Data is key for decision making; You will work with our data scientists and finance managers to prepare, analyse, and present business metrics that support optimal decision making for keeping our product portfolio healthy and ensuring long-term profitability and growth
  • You will be tasked with identifying gaps in our delivery, creating action plans to mitigate gaps, working with stakeholders to complement the global plan to deliver on our business strategy
  • To enable optimal decision making you must help to establish the right business objectives and set thresholds for decisions to be taken outside of the monthly portfolio planning meetings, within these meetings and for those that are escalated to the Executive IBP meeting
  • It is essential that you work closely with other members of the IBP team and subject matter experts to ensure consistency across the IBP cycle for data that is presented and decisions to be made
  • You will need to work with our Commercial, Sales and Finance teams throughout the annual product ranging and budget planning cycle
  • You will need to fully immerse yourself with our Go-to-market (GTM) approach, ensuring that we protect our reputation and create the experiences we desire for our customers
  • You will work closely with Product Strategy to operationalise our long-term plans with regards to manufacturing network, capacity and the securing of materials

About you

  • Bachelor in economics or engineering
  • MBA is desired
  • Experienced in operational and long-range planning
  • Experienced in portfolio planning
  • Knowledge of Kinaxis RapidResponse is desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building
  • Experience in cross-functional team leadership
  • Ability and drive to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI or other data analytics tools
