(Senior) Onsite Manager (m/f/d)

About us

The (Senior) Onsite Manager will be responsible for a seamless end to end onsite customer experience on - both from a technical backend perspective as well as from a merchandising perspective. 

Working with the (Senior) Trading Manager and the Senior E-Commerce manager, you will plan, lead, and deliver projects to drive the continuous improvement of the onsite experience. Relevant KPIs are organic traffic and conversion rate, SEO performance as well as digital NPS.

About the role

  • Single most important point of contact for the onsite experience from technical point of view by fully understanding our systems and platform landscape. Work closely with group and EMEA teams, position as the number one test market for new enhancements/trials. Challenge the status quo, on a constant journey to change for the better.

  • Develop, own and drive the onsite experience roadmap as part of the wider strategy. 

  • Ensure alignment with trading strategy, brand fit and customer needs/shopper behaviour. Be on top of latest E-Commerce trends.

  • Oversee and optimise merchandising activities with the goal of creating a premium environment and amplifying customer engagement through CVR and NPS as well as driving revenue.

  • Oversee and optimise all SEO projects with the goal of improving the organic performance. Lead the SEO strategy as part of the wider onsite and experience strategy.

  • Own the optimisation roadmap. Generate ideas and challenge the optimisation teams for A/B tests and personalization campaigns.

  • Take reports and use data to indentify opportunities and risks and take decisions to optimise based on learnings. Challenge your team to track onsite performance against KPIs daily. 

  • Team leadership: You will be responsible for the line management, personal development and leadership of the Onsite Merchandising team as well as the Onsite Optimisation team. 

  • Create opportunities for your team to get new experiences, think differently and get exposure to higher manaegement levels.

About you


  • Degree in business, marketing, sales or related field

  • Has previous experience of 5-7 years of content management, E-Commerce or digital roles in industries such as consumer electronics, consumer appliances, FMCG or comparable.

  • General knowledge of a shop structure as well as an E-Commerce backend system

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the principles of SEO. Proven track record of optimising SEO performance of an E-Commerce business.

  • Experience working closely with and partnering with cross functional teams especially in E-Commerce, Research and Insights, Digital Analytics, Product Owner, Creative and Category teams.

  • Experience working with 3rd party plug-ins 

Skills & competencies

  • Experience using an enterprise grade CMS – ideally Hybris and/or Adobe Experience Manager

  • Knowledge and understanding of major analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Decibel, Botify etc.

  • A high level of independence, dedication and organization

  • Able to organise own priorities and those of the team to align with business priorities

  • Able to take complex projects / reports and explain in simple words 

  • Confident and strong influencer of people who are not reporting into you as well as senior management

  • Excellent communication skills both in English and German.
