The Specialist is required for our Research, Design and Development (RDD) office in the Philippines to welcome new team members into the company and manage their employee experience throughout their career with us.

The PH office is due to experience exciting growth over the coming years and will expand both in terms of people and space to meet the growing product portfolio handled by the team. To enable this, we are looking for someone with the right skills, enthusiasm and motivation to make this transition smooth and enjoyable for the onboarding of our graduate hires, while doing so in an efficient and seamless manner for the company.

Working within the Haircare department, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager you will design and implement a strategy alongside representatives from other departments to give everyone a best-in-class experience when joining Dyson in the Philippines.

About the role

You will be expected to:

  • Plan for the onboarding of newly hired Graduate Engineers into the department (Arranging IT equipment, Site access requests, Project access requests, requesting Induction training)

  • Schedule the sessions for the induction period for our new hires

  • Establish and administer a graduate rotation scheme in the Engineering office

  • Run creative teambuilding and experience events throughout the year (Design competitions, Challenges, Interesting guest lectures etc)

  • Build relationships with the incoming staff and act as a mentor/guide to them

  • Develop and maintain training records for employees

  • Organise staff feedback schemes

  • Perform general administrative duties within the department as required

  • Represent the company at University outreach events

About you

You should have:

  • A passion for working with and developing people, particularly at the start of their careers

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Excellent administrative skills (Microsoft office Suite)

  • A friendly and welcoming personality, with soft skills that leave a great impression on others

  • An ability to spot a gap or opportunity, then propose a well-considered solution
