About the role

The Senior Quality Manager for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Analytics is responsible to manage the derivation and implementation of a Quality Management Strategy for a newly developed section at Dyson. Reporting to the relevant Head of Quality, the successful candidate will be spearheading the development, deployment and management of required programs, systems, policies and processes to embed Quality Management Systems into the business. This role requires leadership and engagement with multi-level cross functional teams across Dyson. Extensive experience and knowledge in QMS implementation and data analytics is required for the success of this role.

  • Lead and contribute to the development of the department-wide Quality Management strategy and deployment through combining practical experience with –

    • Industry standards/ leading practices (i.e., Lean/ Six Sigma, ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, UL, CE, ROHS etc.).

    • Business needs/ requirements through existing or developing new Processes, Policies & Procedures.

  • Work closely with various departments and cross-functional process owners to provide process analysis oversight on a continuous basis to enforce requirements, meet regulations and embed a system of continuous improvement.

  • Develop and maintain quality dashboards and reports to provide visibility into quality performance.

  • Analyse data to identify improvement opportunities for process characterization, development and execution through predictive models.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data-driven solutions that improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Facilitates Quality Management System execution through development and deployment of global documentation templates.

  • Manages QMS audits, quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of the implementation and execution of the QMS systems.

  • Work with Business Process owners to identify trends in data related to the health of projects and assist Business Process owner with recommendations to correct identified deviations/ trends.

  • Provides support to functional leadership by gathering and analysing Quality information, programs, and initiatives.

  • Develop and execute strategies, plans, and procedures to maintain and improve overall performance of the business.

  • Develop recommendations to optimize QMS structure and improve execution across the department.

  • Manages resources, provides quality system management and leads quality performance improvements through disciplined processes aligned with industry standards.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with design, engineering, wider quality and operations teams.

  • Utilizes lean & proactive statistical tools to drive quality improvements to the QMS across the department.

  • Key person in embedding the culture of continuous improvements in the company.

About you

  • At minimum Master’s degree in Engineering or Quality. 

  • At least 10 years working experience in quality role(s); out of which, at least 6 years in energy storage, automotive, aerospace, or healthcare industry.

  • Change Management certification or completed change management projects examples.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification a MUST. Must be an active practitioner.

  • Extensive knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001/ ISO 14001/ IATF 16949) within regulated industries.

  • Exposure to working in Matrix organization and/or able to mobilize indirect resources in a matrix organization, facilitating collaboration.

  • Excellent Communication skills (written & verbal). Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • Excellent Presentation skills.

  • Willingness to own issues and propose solutions.

  • Leadership skills to maintain a diverse team engaged and focused on the objectives.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Experience conducting site regulatory compliance audits.

  • <10% travel required
