About the role

Dyson Supply Chain Operations is seeking an experienced Senior Sustainability Manager/Responsibility Specialist to drive and advance the environmental and social responsibility of its global supply chain. The candidate will be responsible for driving and leading continuous improvement across all areas of Dyson’s supply chain, focused on environmental and social improvements based on compliance audit results of its supplier facilities. Leading and driving meaningful initiatives to support Dyson’s Environmental, Social and Governance goals.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of international standards and practices in the areas of environmental and social responsibility, as well as experience auditing facilities to assess and monitor compliance.

The position will collaborate extensively with global Supply Chain sustainability, global Manufacturing and Procurement, Engineering and Production teams to define and refine continuous improvement of Supply Chain responsibility initiatives and methodologies.

A successful candidate for the role must be an independent, analytical individual with a passion for sustainability and responsible supply chain practices.    


  • Support and partner in internal/external environmental and social compliance audits at supplier facilities and lead and drive corrective action implementation plans from corresponding reports.

  • Collate and manage CSER audit results for supply chain partners including direct manufacturing, contract manufacturing and the supply chain tracking non-compliance remediation and coordination with Dyson Supply Chain Sustainability CSER teams and 3rd party audit firms for closure.

  • Monitor supplier performance to Dyson CSER expectations and recommend refinements and enhancements to monitoring processes.

  • Identify and drive implementation of projects to improve supplier CSER performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement and engagement through development and training on remediation training and workshops for supplier partners to address CSER non-compliance and areas of improvement.

  • Align with internal stakeholders and global teams to develop CSER training processes and materials.

  • Collaborate with global teams to enhance Dyson’s CSR audit standards and methodology.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, science, engineering, environmental science, other related disciplines and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability.

  • Minimum 3 years of related professional experience in industrial facility auditing and monitoring.

  • Professional auditor certifications a plus, but not required.

  • Extensive knowledge of international norms and standards for social, environmental and ethical responsibility (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SA 8000, RBA, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, etc.).

  • Foundation knowledge of laws and regulations regarding Labor, Environment and Health & Safety.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with supplier executives, production employees, engineers, legal counsel and technical specialists, cross functionally, in a multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced environment, where demands and priorities change rapidly.

  • Ability to obtain and evaluate factual information without bias.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
