You’ll be joining a team that delivers security best practice and the latest technology solutions across our global footprint, your role will be focused on our EMEA region. You will be supporting a range of environments from our Hullavington campus, which houses some of the most advanced Research, Design and Development labs in the world, through to our retail store in Paris. Based at our Malmesbury campus, you will support the region remotely, with only very occasional travel required.


About the role

Reporting to the Regional Technical Security Manager you will be contributing to an effective 1st line technical security service supporting design, projects and maintenance programmes, across the region. Your key accountabilities will be:

  • Assisting in the ongoing support of technical security system alterations for our buildings, ensuring the designs are in line with the Technical Security Standards

  • Working with our Technical Security Integrators, Regional Technical Security Project Managers and Global Technical Security leadership team, help to deliver regional technical security projects, through in-house installation.

  • Installation of the Dyson technical security elements; CCTV IP and analogue infrastructure, access control platforms, intruder detection systems (IDS) and communications systems where required.

  • Conducting planned maintenance of the technical security solution as part of a formal and measured programme

  • Conducting non-planned repair of the technical security systems either directly or using our 3rd Party installers

  • Participate in the technical security response capability for incidents and unexpected activities, as directed

  • Supporting the Technical Security Team in service monitoring and supplier management (when on site)

  • Provide training sessions on new procedures, techniques, and solutions to 1st line system users, as directed

  • Conducting of weekly site audits to ensure an ISO 31000 technical security minimum standard is maintained

  • Reviewing and making recommendations to maintain / improve site security systems and installation processes

About you

You will be experienced in the installation and maintenance of access control systems, preferably one of the following, Lenel, C-Cure, S2, Honeywell. You will enjoy working in a constantly changing environment where every day is different, supporting your customers navigate through challenges and decisions they need to make around their security technology. You will have:

  • An Electrical Installation Certification 

  • Experience of Intruder Alarm Installation - Honeywell experience is desirable but not essential

  • Experience of the installation and maintenance of IP based CCTV

  • Sound working knowledge of Network based architecture 

  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload in a fast-changing environment

  • Resourceful and innovative approach to resolving challenges and faults.

  • Strong computer skills with competency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience in server management, backup, recovery and SQL Management
