Senior Total Rewards Manager, Greater China

About the Role

The Total Reward Senior Manager position is both a specialist and leadership position in the Greater China regional People Team. Reporting to the HR Director for Greater China, you will be responsible for defining, communicating and executing the Total Reward agenda across the region. This includes compensation, benefits and wellbeing. You will be a Reward subject matter expert, who keeps a pulse on market trends, has a commercial mindset and is able to act as a strategic consultant to the business, HRBPs and other key stakeholders within the region and globally. You will have proven analytical capabilities, the ability to communicate and present statistical data in an uncomplicated way that adds value and supports decision making, to deliver seamless and impactful Total Reward programmes.


  • Develop and embed a Total Reward strategy for GC region, with concrete deliverables that help us help attract and retain our talent, ultimately supporting our business goals
  • Lead all compensation and benefit programmes across GC region, collaborating cross-functionally and in partnership with HRBPs – incl. annual salary structure development and benefits review; reward offers for new hires, international moves and localisations; insurance; sales incentive and commission schemes for Sales; flexible benefits; role sizing, pricing and market benchmarking activity
  • Manage mobility activities for GC region – incl. administration, analysis and vendor management. Liaise with Dyson HQ on international mobility case management
  • Lead Forward Dyson, our employee-led engagement committee to ensure valued and meaningful engagement and activities across financial, health, lifestyle and wellness
  • Collaborate with Dyson Global Reward team to harmonise and deliver global reward initiatives and practices locally. Contribute to global projects
  • Partner HRBPs to understand the reward priorities for their business areas and sites. Provide data-driven analysis and insights to shape activity. Prioritise, plan and land initiatives that are relevant, timely and coherent with regional and global approaches
  • End-to-end project management for all GC rewards initiatives – incl. business case preparation, resource management, vendor management, timelines and communications, utilization assessment and improvement proposals 
  • Own the Total Rewards governance framework, supported with relevant policies and processes for equitable, transparent, compliant and market-competitive practices – incl. regular review, refresh and communications
  • Be the thought leader to monitor and share external market trends and changes (e.g. market practice, employment law or regulation changes) which may impact reward practices and propose action plans as needed

About You

  • Relevant working experience: at least 8-years in Compensation & Benefits, within a global organisation
  • Strong statistical analytical and presentation skills; high attention to detail and accuracy with advanced Excel skills
  • Skilled in vendor relationship management
  • Sales compensation/incentive design and administration experience
  • Growth mindset; flexible and able to excel within ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while simplifying and bringing clarity to make things happen
  • Proactive, strategic thinker and also able to act as a team player to get things done
  • Ability to manage end to end projects, think ahead and apply a practical business driven approach
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and teamwork; comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders, able to clearly articulate recommendation and handle challenge
  • Balances employee experience and operational efficiency

It would be helpful if you also had some of these:

  • Experience in other areas of the People Function (e.g. HRBP, HR Operations)
  • Experience using Workday, MS Office, Sharepoint is preferred
