This role is within the Office of the CEO Product Creation Framework Team and interfaces across almost all functions of the business with a high level of visibility.

This role will own a specific programme of work to optimise and improve how Dyson manages critical project information. 

About the role

This role will be a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Leadership

  • Take ownership of the project and drive its progress

  • Ensure the project delivery strategy integrates with the wider business strategy

  • Own the Project Vision; Why we need it, What it is, and How functions, teams and individuals engage with it

Solution Development

  • Convene and manage multiple cross-functional working groups to define, develop and implement solutions to work packages

  • Develop the overall project schedule and work package scope/deliverables

  • Ensure effective and timely cross-functional input; resolve conflicts and lead solutions

  • Optimise solution design, balancing stakeholder needs with practicalities; maintain and manage the risks, actions and issues tracker

  • Take an active hands-on role to understand how information is managed and controlled throughout the product creation lifecycle

  • Integrate across functions; it is imperative that functional contribution is coherent and aligned

  • Develop and implement new policy, process and associated training packages

Communicate

  • Gain a sufficient level of knowledge and understanding of work packages to communicate project status to senior management, setting and managing expectations

  • Develop improved communication material to ensure awareness of new policy and process

  • Provide guidance and training to project leadership  enabling their engagement, use and application of new policy and process to deliver

Collaborate

  • Build positive relations with stakeholders representing all areas of the business

  • Work across the CEO Office and multiple business functions and in particular partner with the Data Governance and Global Security teams

About you

  • Experience of information/data management and governance coupled with policy and process design and it's implementation

  • Cross-functional experience is desired

  • Experience of working with multiple senior stakeholders and managing expectations across a diverse group of stakeholders

  • Experience of Lean principles and process design is desirable

  • Adept at following a project management methodology

  • Change Management – comfortable and competent at managing change, bringing team and stakeholders along

  • Resilience and composure to guide projects and teams through arising issues, overcoming challenges to deliver high quality business outcomes

  • Integrity and Assertiveness; willing to communicate all relevant information including perceived ‘bad news’ and hold teams to account to deliver
