About the Role

The VP, Strategy & Transformation, will drive the Americas Transformation Program Office (TPO), leading strategic transformation initiatives, focused capability development and business change. She/He will support the Regional President and the market Managing Directors in strategic and business transformation projects. The role reports to the Americas Regional President and is a part of the Americas Leadership Team.


  • Management of the Transformation Program Office, with identifying, implementing, tracking and reporting on the various strategic initiatives against regional priorities and set goals
  • Managing Project and Program managers, with cross-market and cross-functional expertise, and ensure on-time, on-budget, on-scope delivery of identified projects
  • Partner cross functionally and with high resourcefulness and agility to drive key initiatives across the region and achieve the Americas and Dyson’s global vision and strategy
  • Interface and influence global functions to land key global and local business change initiatives
  • Taking the lead on critical projects related to the transformation of the business and bring together different change and business initiatives into an integrated transformation journey for the business
  • Work closely with the regional president for Americas, market Managing Directors and wider Leadership team to review and shape compelling strategies and tactics that are aligned with the overall Americas goals and targets
  • Critical stakeholder in managing Americas representation to Executive Committee, Board Members, CEO and Founder.
  • Being involved as part of the global team in further shaping the corporate transformation and contributing holistically on a range of business issues as they arise
  • Nurturing a team with a strong strategic mindset operating in a collaborative manner within the organization

About You

The successful candidate demonstrates the following leadership competencies:

  • Business change and transformation: she/he will have led change and transformation in a mid-sized market
  • Disciplined thinker and an analytical, numerate problem solver who has the strategic judgment and the capacity to think through complex issues
  • Strategic Orientation: she/he will have a track record of setting a strategic direction that accomplishes immediate and long-range objectives, combining thought leadership and analytical strength with the ability to transition with ease from recommendations to operational rigor. She/he is skilled in drawing conclusions and making recommendations from data.
  • P&L awareness and management: strong financial acumen and ability to pivot strategy to balance operational success whilst maintaining focus on strategic transformation.
  • Collaboration and Influencing Skills: Collaborative, low ego and agile in style, she/he can influence and engage a diverse group of stakeholders, including commercial and creative audiences, while building and maintaining strong relationships. An outstanding communicator, she/he is effective in energizing an organization, serving as a strong spokesperson for the company and a valued partner.
  • Results Orientation: She/he is a resourceful leader with strong business acumen who operates effectively with minimum direction and who pursues objectives relentlessly with a sense of vision, energy, positivity and passion. A strong orientation to action, persistently and decisively delivering superior customer experiences and results, both personally and through teams.

Professional experience:

  • Ownership and parallel execution of multiple large scale strategic initiatives–Experience using project and portfolio management methodologies.
  • Multi stakeholder management
  • Industry experience of: Retail or Consumer facing products; Beauty; Premium consumer electronics; Direct-to-consumer, heavy E-Commerce company; Strategy consulting at a top tier firm; Corporate strategy role inside a large company; Relevant scope, scale and complexity with a similar global business
