About the role

As part of the Americas HR Operations at Dyson you will be supporting our US, Canada and Mexico markets on the delivery of the HR processes.

Responsible for administering transactional HR processes whilst supporting key activities within the Americas HR Operations team, to include, but not limited to:
  • End-to-end transactional HR processes including starters, employee lifecycle changes and leavers
  • Maintaining employee information and records in People systems (HRIS, Payroll, etc.)
  • Creation (and changes to) terms and conditions letters and contracts
  • Verification of People system updates (Workday & ADP) 
  • Review of documentation (including any relevant calculations) generated by the HR Administrators and providing feedback to ensure accuracy 
  • Analyze audit reports and perform data validation using excel 
  • Point of contact for policy and process queries from the business
  • Manage and maintain a specific area of administration to become the team subject matter expert
  • Coordinate and provide employment verification for current and ex-employees
  • Oversee day-to-day tasks and work priorities of the HR Administrators with support from the Americas HR Operations Manager when required 
  • Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc reports, analyzing data where required 
  • Support Americas HR Operations projects and cross functional project within HR team
  • Process purchase orders as needed for Americas HR Operations
  • Manage escalations and resolve complex stakeholder and team queries with support from the Americas HR Operations Manager when required
  • Identify root cause of issues that arise and seek solutions and preventative measures
  • Work closely with the Americas HR Business Partner and HR Advisers
  • Key HR Operations point of contact in the absence of the Americas HR Operations Manager
  • Assist with compiling of severance packages
  • Manage signature gathering of employment documents via DocuSign

About you

  • 4+ years of experience working in an HR role managing, coordinating and administering HR policies and processes
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to meet fluctuating deadlines at short notice and willing to be flexible to reach deadlines
  • Sound decision making skills utilizing information and knowledge of HR systems and processes
  • Ability to support and influence HR administrations whilst continuing with hands on Administration workloads
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to prioritize high workload volumes, multitask where necessary and take ownership of case management  
  • Drive and enthusiasm to succeed and improve
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and display discretion
  • Strong team player but with the ability to work independently and with autonomy
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and provide a high level of customer service
  • Proficiency in HR Systems, ideally Workday and ADP is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or French is a plus
