About the Role

The Supplier Governance Manager reports into the Head of Sustainable Procurement and Supplier Management as part of the global Indirect Procurement team, supporting Dyson on a journey towards best-in-class sustainable procurement within its indirect supply base. This newly created role will be critical to the success of the sustainable procurement and supplier management programmes.  The role holder is responsible for inputting in to and supporting the wider Supplier Governance team in the overall delivery of the sustainable procurement and supplier management programme globally, including conducting supplier assessments, ongoing risk monitoring and management of improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

To champion best practice sustainable procurement and supplier management principles amongst Dyson’s indirect supply chain.  To ensure the sustainable procurement and supplier management programmes meet relevant requirements including but not limited to the following areas: legal and regulatory; environmental; people and society; and professional standards, to minimise risk and further enhance the performance of Dyson.

  • Supporting the delivery of a risk-based sustainable procurement and supplier management programmes that will define how all indirect suppliers are managed across Dyson globally

  • Application of relevant sustainable procurement and supplier management processes, policies and procedures to ensure current and future suppliers meet the required standards

  • Monitoring and reporting on supplier and programme targets, timelines, KPIs and measurements of success, reflecting new opportunities and emerging risks

  • Assessment of supply chain against risk criteria to establish supplier risk profiles

  • Collaboration with the wider business to deliver the programmes, notably working with our Sustainability and Supplier Management teams

  • Management of any identified risks within the supply base, creating action and/or remedial plans and ensuring their delivering

  • Support the building of collaborative relationships with key suppliers in order to develop opportunities to increase value, innovation, exploit synergies and manage risks across the relationships

  • Identifying areas for improvement in the programmes’ processes and procedures

  • Providing relevant reporting on the progress and delivery of the programmes, feeding into the wider Dyson network where needed

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of best practice sustainable procurement and supplier management principles, theories, regulations, risks and trends to ensure optimal programme delivery and continuous improvement.
