Our European markets have grown significantly in recent years, both in terms of volume but also in terms of the channels we sell our products. Dyson has an ambitious target to grow our direct to consumer channel, to enable this growth our supply chain needs to transform and deliver our products in a competitive supply chain environment every day every hour.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and proactive Supply Chain enthusiast to join our growing EMEA organization. You will be providing support to our EMEA Supply Chain Director, the EMEA region and in particular, the Benelux team. This is a really key role to the EMEA Supply Chain organization, as we are looking for an individual who has a genuine passion and interest in supply chain, who thrives on a wide range of responsibility and task, is eager to take on a support role within the actual Supply Chain team as well as working alongside the EMEA SC Director to engage the team in wider initiatives and activities. Key elements of this will also include driving and contributing to engagement, morale and team cohesiveness for the EMEA Supply Chain organisation, and will work closely with the EMEA Supply Chain Director to build and embed the Dyson values and culture for this newly formed leadership team.
This role would be perfect for an entry-level or graduate, who has a genuine interest and passion for the world of Supply Chain, is looking to progress their career within a fast-paced and exciting company, and wants hands on experience whilst coupled with an unique opportunity to work alongside our EMEA SC Director.
Key Responsibilities will include, but not limited to;- Proactive management and organization of the EMEA Supply Chain Director’s diary.- Being a genuine people person, who thrives on building an effective and strong network of working relationships- Keen to drive and contribute to initiatives within the wider EMEA SC organization- Genuine interest in the commercial world, and an ability to understand, learn from and appreciate the bigger picture when it comes to competing priorities etc.- Collating meeting agendas- Working alongside the EMEA SC Director to drive engagement initiatives across the leadership team, taking the lead for working with the leaders to drive improvement in their areas and keeping such important topics “on the agenda”.- Attending and taking minutes at meetings where appropriate, using complete confidentiality.- Proactively manage emails and daily post- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for key Directors and their teams- Coordination of department messages and communication- Collation of data for board reports and other weekly/monthly reports- Manage all travel requirements for the EMEA Supply Chain Director and their teams using assigned travel management company, and company guidelines.- Complete expenses for EMEA Supply Chain Director.- Be the key point of contact for all EMEA Supply Chain teams- Continuous improvement of administrative processes and roll out of any changes as required.
About you- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel- Genuine passion and enthusiasm for the world of Supply Chain, and an interest to be part of and progress your career within this world.- Ability to work with pace, take the initiative and make grounded and level decisions- Ability to multi-task and work simultaneously on different projects - Eagerness to develop commercial awareness and get hands on with daily Supply Chain roles within the team- At least 3 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant at senior management level (preferably within a global organization)- Highly organized, proactive and uses their initiative.- Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally.- Excellent level of spoken and written English.- Professional, discreet and confidential.- Not only able to work as part of a team, but genuinely enjoys working with people.- Able to pick things up quickly and is keen to take on tasks or responsibilities outside of the traditional coordinator/PA remit.- Excellent communication / influencing skills, both written and verbal, along with effective problem-solving skills- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a dynamic, fast paced environment- Strong team player capable of building strong relationships with key senior stakeholders
